Black Ink Monday
"Black Ink Monday, a non-violent protest by the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists (AAEC), is a response to the Tribune Company's recent elimination of editorial cartooning positions at several of its newspapers, as well as a commentary on newspapers everywhere who have lost sight of the value of having a staff editorial cartoonist."
Copulating Deaf Couple Unaware of Own Volume
"It sounded as if they were bludgeoning a cow. There would be a low moan, like a ‘moo,’ and then a ‘bang’ and a higher-pitched ‘moo.’ It was like ‘MOO…BANG…MOOO!’"
Red v. blue in the neighborhood
Growing up with all these Crips and Bloods and V13 here in Los Angeles, I don't care how badly they fry Williams just after midnight tonight.
"Ice is Nature's way of saying 'get involved'."
Last Saturday, at the Rheostatics' 5th annual Winter Nationals at the Horseshoe, some clips were played from funnyguys Truthhorse, whom I had never seen. Maybe it was the beer, maybe it was the company, but we all seemed to love the videos of people getting hurt.

Skills And Knowledge
- I've got skills. They're multiplying. But I'm not losing control because one of my skills is controlling multiplying skills. Which is handy.
EXAMPLE: I can do something with my tongue that drives women absolutely wild!!!! By expelling air over its surface and carefully shaping the contours of my mouth I can form the words "Get in the kitchen and do the washing up."

Halo Zero.
Halo Zero is a fan made side scroller starring Master Chef. I'll be interested to when and if Microsoft responds to this. Well worth a download.

My cousin is in a bad christian rock band. How can I influence him away from this awful "genre of music"?

Eugene McCarthy, dead at 89
Many of you "kids" may not know who he was, but he was one of the political good guys of the 60s and beyond. The 60s liberal generation voters, including myself, reallly wanted him to win sooo badly, but the Democratic Party had fragmented by then, and he lost. And things have gone down from there.
But, he did force Lyndon Johnson to give up his bid for re-election.
We could so use a new McCarthy clone, but I don't know whether the Democrats have the basic where-with-all to nominate anyone so willing to stand up for liberal principals.
Kind of the end of my dreams.

Jose Padilla finally charged with a crime
The "dirty bomber" Jose Padilla, an American citizen, has finally been charged with a crime after being held in a military brig for 3 and 1/2 years without ever being charged of commiting a crime. Oh, and that whole "dirty bomb" thing that got him declared an "enemy combatant" in the first place? Not mentioned in the charges.
