Doctors grow new jaw in man's back
The headline creeped me out, but this is amazing stuff.

Curious George: why are the Democrats and Kerry so inept
at capitalizing on Bush's weaknesses. It's very frustrating to see Kerry struggling (personally, I don't like him but you know, ABB) with this SBVT issue when Bush is so vulnerable in so many areas.

No flying cars and no space meals? The future is really not what you expected it to be.
The designers at NEC share with you their vision of the near-future: networked gadgets all more futuristic than the others. You gotta love edible (after use) RFID chips (with rights to digital contents) covered in a gummy capsule. [Via User Instinct]
Curious George: Metalmouth
*I'm almost embarrassed to ask, but i'll ask anyways*
Adults and braces and dating and intimacy...
I've been wearing braces for about 6 months now, and i'm extremely self conscious. I realise i've stopped smiling and tend to cover my mouth with my hand quite a bit when i talk. I also realise that i havent been on a date since i started wearing braces. Any correlation? Are men put off by braces?
And a second question in the same vein. Can one kiss properly with braces? As for "plo chops" i sincerely doubt any man would want his ding dong near my choppers unless he wants to be (re)circumcised. But i'll ask anyways. Have any of u males dared brave a metal mouth bj? Is it even possible?
The Theban Mapping Project
A beautifully executed combination of Flash, mapping and Egyptology.
Crush.
A good basic explanation of how red wines are made, without the jargon or attitude.
David who?
I haven't seen the hearing of Australian David Hicks, accused of terrorism, covered by American media much at all. Considering it's got (more) claims of abuse against the guards at Camp X-Ray, detainment for 2 years without charges being laid, and other media favourites, why hasn't it received more US coverage?

Curious, George: Toronto meetup?
I'm putting together a last-minute Toronto MeFi meetup. I would love to meet some Monkeys too! Anyone in the area that would like to come out? (Or, if you can't because it's last-minute - sorry! - would you be interested in a meetup sometime soon?)

Curious George: Parables for the Limbaugh masses?
I have been wondering whether short, interesting parables, koans, thought exercises, or allegories exist that might give a conservative guy like my dad or one of my Limbaugh-listenin' friends something meaty to mull over.
