The Theban Mapping Project
A beautifully executed combination of Flash, mapping and Egyptology.

May I say, without hyperbole: holy fuck! That could be the best thing I've seen on the net in ages. Relevant, simple use of Flash technology in a subject I'm near-obsessed with. I want more, and faster. Beautiful. Many thanks, Seanasy

This was posted to Mefi last year. (can't find link) It's one of the coolest uses of flash I've ever seen. Time to wander through those tombs again!

Beautiful!

This site is amazing - nicely designed, so detailed, and Dr.Weeks is pretty cool. I love it, thank you.

Wow, I could spend days in this site. Thanks Seanasy! Also sent it to my youngest niece, who is a budding Egyptologist.

Marvellous!

Great site Seanasy! I started sweating clicking around in there remembering my trip to Egypt, particularly when i clicked on the tomb of Thutmoses III. Climbing up the staircase to practically the top of the valley was bad enough, then you get inside and it's like an oven set at 450.
