College bound monkeys looking for some extra cash? Write an essay for the American Fire Sprinkler Association. From the site: Write about a successful fire sprinkler activation in your town, area, or state. Students are recommended to talk to their local fire department for information, and to include some of the following details in their essay: cause of fire, number of fire sprinklers that activated, actions of fire fighters when they arrived at the scene. Also discuss how local media (TV, newspapers, etc.) reported the fire. (i.e., Was the media coverage positive or did it focus only on water damage from the sprinklers?)

Football chants were brought into the limelight last Tuesday when Millwall fans chanted "one Boris Johnson, there's only one Boris Johnson" and less amusing things at Liverpool fans. The phenomenon is explained by Wikipedia, and earlier in the year a chant laureate was selected. There is a huge (and rather undiscriminating) collection here.
