The earth is not moving.
A happy combination of stopping time and random Chick tracts.
The winners of the Irish blog awards are announced
'Best Political Blog' Slugger O'Toole has been linked here before, and it's where I saw the announcement. Only had a quick glance at the others, but might be something in there to like. If only I could read An tImeall.

Why Are We Here?
The body of Christian Peacemaker Team activist Tom Fox was found today in Iraq. Evidence suggests he was tortured and assassinated. This message was composed the day before he was abducted.
We are here to stand with those being dehumanized by oppressors and stand firm against that dehumanization. We are here to stop people, including ourselves, from dehumanizing any of God's children, no matter how much they dehumanize their own souls.

Senator Rick
Santorum you know from his comments on gay incest (or something) but you also know him to be a self-confessed point man on lobbying reform. Which is why a local investigation was surprised to find his charity being rife with lobby money.

(Flash) Build a city with 18 available components. The order in which you employ those components determines how they'll interact and how far the city will develop. There's one correct order that will score the full amount of points. Similar to the Grow games (also Flash). (via dalryaug) (crossposted to MeFi)

Anonymous George: Transgendered, Can't Find Work
Hi, folks, fellow simians.
I was intersexed at birth and was surgically "corrected" and pronounced a boy. Unfortunately for me, I'm actually a girl, and am just getting around to correcting this problem at age 29-30. I've been on female hormones for almost exactly a year, and have been living full-time in my true gender for about 8 months. I look pretty "convincing" already except perhaps for my jawline and my sparse (but darkish) facial hair. I pass. Not perfectly, but great considering how little I've done.
I'm in the States.
