The Art and Subversion of Ron English.
Ron has been a major player in the New York and worldwide "lowbrow" scene for more than a decade now. His paintings have become his mainstay, but he still makes time to promote a little "parity in advertising". See also his book and documentary.

Curious George: How long does exposed 35mm film last?
A few weeks ago, when clearing out my late father's stuff, I found a metal 35mm film canister. This has a screw cap labelled 'ILFORD Refill - open in darkroom'. I opened it (nothing to lose) and found what appears to be an exposed roll of 35mm film in it's cartridge. I assume it's exposed, because it doesn't have a 'tail' of film hanging out. The film itself is labelled 'ADOX KB 17 PANCHRO 17/10deg DIN, 32 ASA, 28deg SCH.' with a big '20' and 'made in Germany'. I suspect it dates from the early 1960's. What do photograpic MoFites suggest? Is it worth taking it to be developed? Would it be perished and unusable? I know nothing of these (and many other) things.

Curious George: Where to buy a monitor?
I'm in the market for a 23" CRT computer monitor. Does anyone know a good site for stuff like that? Ideally, I'd like to avoid sales tax and shipping fees.
Windows WMF vulnerability patch is up.
It's not official, but it could be a week or more before MS gets its collective thumb out of its collective ass and fixes the problem. Meantime, the consensus seems 100%: this patch is good, it is reversible, and it is necessary.

Curious George: Song pairs.
The link below (We Will Rock You) got me wondering. Which songs are usually played in pairs? The only ones I can think of are We Will Rock You/Champions (Queen) and Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go (Soft Cell). There's gotta be others. Google isn't helping on this one.
A google video.
