The original "cam whore"?
The nineteenth-century Countess de Castiglione was obsessed with capturing her own image in over 400 photographs that recreated significant moments of her life. Like today's "cam whores," she liked to pose for "risqué" shots that revealed a bare foot or thigh.

Aussies rank US behind China
While John Howard staunchly followed his close friend George W. Bush to war, Australians don't hold the same affection for our key ally, with the US ranking below China, France and Japan in the public's estimation.
A new donor program.
I can't tell if this is serious. Anybody from Toronto know if Stone's Place would have a sign-up booth?
Curious George: I'd like to start a blog.
Where should I start if I would eventually like to use my blog to promote and distribute (commercially) my original music?

Imagineer That!
I've heard the debate about corporate-sponsored vending machines and such in public schools, now it seems those funny folks at Disney are sending imagineers to schools in the US. Gee, what's wrong with making monkey sounds!?

Curious, George: DVD Burning
I need help completing my DVD pirating process. So, I decided to ask the smartest group of people I know. Ironic that these smart people are monkeys, ain't it?
Might Mofi
Describe your day in a mighty way, as if it were mythological events to be inscribed in stone tablets. Ie., two-fisted tales of ordinary days. (With a might fart, he arose from the bed, and swore vengeance at the roaring lion = He woke up and accidentally stepped on the cat.). Give your life that Conanical flair and tell it like it should be, not like it is.

How to Witness with Halo 2
"In fact, the Halo storyline is remarkably like a major theme of the Bible..." wherein the Earth is attacked by aliens/Satan, and Jesus comes to save it from a fate worse than the Covenant.
"But then again, I know of a bigger nerd club. It has millions of members and is spread all over the world. In fact, it includes you and me. It is made up of every Christian, whether we realize it or not," says Lane Palmer, witnessing with Napolean Dynomite.
More news on Halo witnessing here, and I first saw bits of it here (watercoolergames).

International Pajama Day.
This April 5, wear your PJ's all day. To work, to school, at home, while running errands. Why? Because "people cannot help but feel positive when covered from head to toe with cozy flannel, the warmth of fleece or the feeling of silk or satin. Pajamas know no boundaries, pajamas are nonpartisan, nonpolitical, nondenominational, and a plethora of other nons."
Don't dream it's over.
Former Crowded House and Split Enz drummer and radio personality Paul Hester dead. Hester was apparently a victim of severe depression and took his own life in a Melbourne park. He is survived by his girlfriend and two daughters.

Ukai - photographs of traditional cormorant fishing
Ukai, or cormorant fishing, is a traditional method of river fishing that has been practiced in Japan for some 1300 years. This method involves fishermen using cormorant birds on leashes to catch sweetfish (such as the Ayu). Ukai is not as widespread as it once was, because it is no longer an economically viable form of fishing. Nowadays, there are only a few people authorized to perform ukai, and it is protected under the Imperial Household Agency. Positions are usually inherited and passed on within each family. Octopuses walking on two legs... I mean, tentacles.
Octopuses apparently learn to walk woth two tentacles while using the other six to adopt different shapes as camo. I find it ammusing because the videos remind me of cartoon characters hiding behind bushes and carrying them along.
Terri Schiavo's Blog:
So what's the sign that a current event has jumped the shark?
Well Terri Schiavo has a blog now. So does her husband. Boy, that's classy people.
Is that taking a personal tragedy too far? You bet is, but it's not stopping anyone.
Can't get enough? Check out what's on Terri's iPod. And I'm not even talking about people trying to make a quick buck off this either.
