Tesla Coil Mario Brothers Theme
No speakers, just electric Mario Bros. Goodness. And if that whets your whistle, here's 600+ NES games to be played in your browser. (Intel X86 only). Cheers!

More Things
To Worry About Sometimes though, you're lucky. Sometimes you're not. Either way, one can prepare themselves, or perhaps take some advice. It doesn't matter though, it's all over

PR Nightmare?
Or valid lawsuit. Johnson & Johnson slated to sue Red Cross over trademark infringement. They state that the Red Cross can only use their symbol in not for profit venues. Apparently the Cross has been selling emergency kits with the Red Cross symbol, and JNJ wants these items destroyed.

Phew!
TV Station uses homebrew rinkydink fake IDs to board planes. But is the threat to us coming from the TSAs ineptitude? Or is it something more sinister

Curious George: Newsfilter
Horrific crime committed in Tennesee. For Monkeys who live out there, they may have heard of it, as it happened in January. I, for one, am honestly surprised that this hasn't gone national.

The GUI from Minority Report
Looks like it might be closer (although maybe clunky and counter productive) than some people think.

Drivers following the directions of their satnavs or GPS systems, are more prone to turn off their brains, and dispense with common sense in lieu of their gadget.

Curious George: Ejectable Cabin
I was just reading about the 2nd plane crash in as many days on the Blue. I don't fly, haven't for several years after a bout with bad turbulence. But I've often wondered why they don't make a plane (and charge more, of course) that will eject its passengers in case something goes wrong... Am I missing something?

Peekaboom
I know... I've posted already today.. but this is just too cool. Bascially, help a coupla algorithims learn hor to recognize things by "sight." You switch back and forth with a player a la a visual 25,000 Pyramid... and you reveal the portion of the picture that the site wants your partner to guess... i.e. Picture of a park... site wants "tree" so you reveal a tree. The only interaction is a noun/verb, related noun verb hint, and a hot or cold... This is just incredible..! Via BoingBoing...
Computer crashing? Maybe you're cursed...
A little quirky post from our good friends up north. I can't believe someone's spent 26 years on this... weird if it were true

What was she thinking?
While not as crazy as this, Mrs. Miller definitely needs some therapy. Perhaps these 4th graders should have had camera phones like these kids... Though at least the U.S. isn't as tolerant of teachers behavior as Moroccans. Frankly my dear, they don't give a damn!

Communication, George
Without realizing I was being offensive, I accidentally insulted an on-line buddy of mine (who is gay) by calling a member of the opposing team a "fag" for hoarding weapons and hiding. During our subsequent discussion, I noted that he had used the term "raped" (as in: "We sure raped those jerks") to describe a particularly spectacular victory over another team. On-line communication is informal, but are we going too far in speaking without thinking? Or is the non-PC, speak first, think later formula fine for most.
