Ever consider making your own drinking horn?
Yes, you too can make your own drinking horn. There are quite a few different sites out there. If you're not up to the task, you can always buy a horn that's allready been crafted. For not much more depending on the merchant. I found an old horn in my garage (came with the house) and fashioned it into a rather heroic drinking horn. All it takes is a horn, a few simple materials, and a wee bit of patience.

Snotty indian tech support?
They're probably racist says India's economic times. Casteless Americans don't seem to engender much love in some of these people. More forward thinking Indians are getting over this however. The times are a changing, albeit slowly. My only question is WWJD?

A History of The Lobotomy.
"He anesthetized them with three rapid bursts of electric shock. He then drew the upper eyelid away from the eyeball, exposing the tear duct. The sharp point of the ice pick was placed in this, and then, as Freeman put it, "a light tap with a hammer is usually all that is needed to drive the point through the orbital plate". The ice pick was plunged into the brain. When it was about two inches inside, Freeman would pull the ice pick about 30 degrees backward, as far as he could without cracking the skull, and then move it up and down in another 20 degree arc, in order to cut the nerves at the base of the frontal lobes." An infamous chapter in medical history. [via Fark]

Interpol, that most amazingly amazing band has a catalog of their photos online which impress immensely. Not as good as their music to be sure, but still a great set.

Ben Franklin on the United States constitution.
"In these sentiments, Sir, I agree to this Constitution with all its faults, if they are such; because I think a general Government necessary for us, and there is no form of Government but what may be a blessing to the people if well administered, and believe farther that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in Despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic Government, being incapable of any other. -- Ben Franklin
Thanks to Gore Vidal for using this quote in his excellent new book from which I discovered the above quote.
