Monkey Salon Saw this, thought of you guys. Some neat stuff in the galleries, though for some reason my links keep getting munged in preview, so I'll let you find them yourselves.

Curious George My Google-fu has failed me. I have a bunch of mp3s on my harddrive that I want to burn on cd, and I want the cd to play on regular players. I find all sorts of programs to do this on a PC, but none for my 10.2.8 OSX ass... Help?

Alpha Girls TV An organic media project for a disenfranchised population? Yeah, and if you don't like what's on there, go ahead and submit it. Not earth shaking, but a good use of vlogs...

Curious George: It ain't stealin'! I read a lot of musicblogs, but it's kinda a pain in the ass to download each track individually... I like RSS feeders, but they don't automatically pick up the files (at least, Thunderbird doesn't). Is there a similar software that just cruises blogs you subscribe to, and downloads anything with .mp3 after it? Ideally, this should sync with iTunes so that I could have daily playlists...

"Take me, Judas" Sure, I could have followed up my deleted porn post with a well-thought out post on something important or something neat. But instead, here's something that will make roll over in his grave.

What with the Pope dead you might be cast adrift in a sea of Catholic angst. To whom do you pray about your syphilis? Luckily, there's patron saint for that (three, actually). more inside

Guitar Wolf's Billy Wolf (neƩ Hideaki Sekiguchi) died today at age 38 of a heart attack. But instead of a simple mourning post, I'd like to take this opportunity to rock out, Jap-thrash style. I can't seem to find any mp3s of the following bands (though I own quite a few albums from them), so if any of you would like to help, you're more than welcome. more inside

How to Witness with Halo 2 "In fact, the Halo storyline is remarkably like a major theme of the Bible..." wherein the Earth is attacked by aliens/Satan, and Jesus comes to save it from a fate worse than the Covenant. "But then again, I know of a bigger nerd club. It has millions of members and is spread all over the world. In fact, it includes you and me. It is made up of every Christian, whether we realize it or not," says Lane Palmer, witnessing with Napolean Dynomite. More news on Halo witnessing here, and I first saw bits of it here (watercoolergames). more inside

X-ray Porn/Art (NSFW!) A sampling of Wim Delvoye's images. While explicit, I think that they're interesting both as erotica and as art. They also certainly give a better understanding of where the soft tissue ends in the skull, for those of you who have to do anatomy drawings out there. more inside

Paris got hijacked (hizacked) (NSFW) Paris Hilton had her Sidekick hacked. More interesting than the main link, which is mostly just the photos she had on it, is her address book(SFW). "You can kill a revolutionary, but you can't kill a revolution." On December 4th, 1969, Black Panther Fred Hampton was gunned down in his apartment by members of the Chicago Police Department. The report alledging that the CPD acted in self-defense was demolished by reporters of the time (though there doesn't seem to be any internet trace of it), but the officers were exonerated anyway. In 1990, Chicago's City Council declared December 4th "Fred Hampton Day," which was narrowed from the "National Revolutionary Day" that was declared by his survivors. Vibe Magazine interviews his son Fred Hampton jr. about his father. more inside
