Curious, George: Old blog of superhero battle back-&-forth.
I recall a wonderful blog in which two cartoon artists went back-and-forth conquering the previous day's superhero. For example maybe one day "Spike Hand Man" would beat the previous day's "Waterbed Man," and then the next day "Marshmellow Body Man" would beat "Spike Hand Man," and so forth. My Google-fu has failed me!

CuriousGeorge: Student loan bothers
I have, for the past 4 months, been making monthly payments to Company X, which is a collection agency, for an old student loan with the NY State Higher Ed folks. I have not missed a payment.
Today, I get a call from Company Y asking me to set up payments for my student loan. When I say that I'm already making payment with Company X, they say "well, NY State transferred it to us, and we need to set up a new payment plan."
Can they do this?

CuriousGeorge: WANTED: good, fast, printable b/w map
At my work, we regularly and frequently print out street maps. Google Maps makes the best printouts we've see, but it's slow, and the print-outs are poor, as we're doing it on a b/w printer. Here's what I want:
(1) A full-page printout with one click.
(2) Map formatted in black-n-white for printing.
All the other printable map sites I've found want to print half-sheet sized maps, which is unusable to me. Anyone know anything better?

[Curious George] Help finding a DIY eye looky thing
I saw once online instructions for making a device (called a ...?) which allows a person's two eyes to look into one another. It's a little box, mirrors, etc..., and one looks into the two eye holes. Any help finding it, or even a name for such device?

Curious George: Trick for finding free iTunes downloads?
Am wondering if anyone knows of a trick for finding free downloads on iTunes. Question sparked when, recently, a thread floated around the web about some free downloadable Scandinavian pop music. Does one just have to stumble across the freebies, or is there a way to find them?

Curious George: New MacOSX user
I'm using MacOSX (the not newest one), and suddenly everything is failing. Ever time I reboot, all my user settings are gone, my bookmarks, and the iTunes library is corrupted again. I assume I must have some bad settings. Anyway, what I want to do is start fresh with a new user. I can create one, and make that one an Administrator, but how do I share everything (all settings, desktop, etc...) with the new one, from the old one, so that I don't have to recreate everything from scratch?

Do you suppose that someone associated with an art event might have considered that their logo design looks a bit … oFF? This is one parade where I’d not want to bring up the rear….
