D.E.B.S. This film about schoolgirl super spies opens on Friday (and it's pure campy fun). In the same vein as Charlie's Angels, Aeon Flux or Kill Bill, it deviates from those in that it explores a lesbian relationship between one of the spies and their enemy. Will mainstream conservatism kill the film before it has a chance?

Check for traps. True Dungeon returns to GenCon Indy this year. This d20 variant, created by Jeff Martin of Dwarven Forge fame, is part RPG, part LARP, giving fans of D&D a chance to act out real-life adventures in a full-sized dungeon without all the running around in the woods waving foam swords. Wil Wheaton did it, so it must be cool.

So the NHL season is canceled. Who cares? With video games and other exciting options, that reptile in your brain that wants blood can be sated without watching sports. Whether or not video games lead to violence is a moot point. The question is what giant falls next: The NFL? Why pay players? Who needs the real thing when we got game?
