Undecideds Not So Undecided
Via Political Wire, this follows everything I have been reading about the presidential election. The undecideds are heavily favoring John Kerry and it doesn't seems like George W. Bush can do anything to get them back. The memo linked comes from the GOP polling firm Fabrizio McLaughlin and Associates (so this isn't DNC spin). Their assessment is that "if these undecided voters were leaning any harder against the door of the Kerry camp, they would crash right through it."
On the bright: the GOP does have Rachel Hunter.
Fox News Momos
The famous John Moody talking points memos are now on online (thanks to Wonkette). Fox did this to show that they are fair and balanced because of the PR nightmare they are getting from the Robert Greenwald's documentry Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism.

Federal Marriage Amendment Goes Down In Flames
The Democrats in the Senate let the vote go to the floor so the Republicans can cut their throat with it. I agree with Billmon that "the damn thing was never anything more than a campaign stunt to whip up the bigot vote. Now that that's done, we can all move on. The only place this amendment is going to reappear will be in a Bush-Cheney 20-second spot - coming soon to the rural areas of a swing state near you."

Cruelity To Animals
People should not dress their dogs up to look like sunflowers. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if these pets went all Cujo on their owners.

Compassionate Conservatism
The blog Non Prophet reports that the conservative interest group Focus on the Family sent Michael Moore's home adress to their email list. Ted Barlow of Crooked Timber called FOTF and confirmed, with a staff woker that wished not to be named, that Moore's address sent out to the group's supporters.

Why Gore Lost In 2000
The Wall Street Journal comes up with their bizarro theory as to why Bush beat Gore in 2000. Potential Gore voters could not vote for the candidate because they were aborted when they were fetuses. Nevermind that Gore won the popular vote.

More Bad News For Ralph Nader
It seem that Nader did not get the Green Party's endorsement. Nader then insulted the Green Party by calling them "strange." He also has broke the law by having 501C4 corporations (run by Republicans) help him get on the Oregon ballot.

Is John Ashcroft the Worst Attorney General Ever?
Paul Krugman gives a laundry list of reasons why he think he is. Atrios and Kevin Drum don't think much of him, either. They both make the observation that the press no longer believe anything he saids about terrorism and the man loves the spotlight.
