Monkeyfilter Double Package Post
Since we have a rule about only one post a day I thought I give you monkeys two posts for the price of one.
Post 1
Oliver Willis has a video of Jimmy Swaggart saying the he would kill a gay man who looked at that hot ass of his with gay desire. Jimmy only wants hookers to be looking at him that way.
Post 2
Wonkette has the transcript of Jon Stewart on Bill O'Reilly's show.

How To Loose An Election
This article on Alan Keyes is so hysterical that it reads like a Tom Tomorrow comic strip. I let you monkeys read it and post your comments.

Let's Hear It For the Liberal Media
Via Left I On The News: I had to had at how Chris O'Brien of the San Jose Mercury News wrote this piece that reads like it came out of Karl Rove's office.
Silicon Valley's unemployment rate fell nearly a full percentage point to 5.5 percent in August. Yet the valley also lost 1,500 jobs.It gets bad when you can't tell the difference between real news and The Daily Shows

Homeless use Internet to be connected
Since Forks is plugging his media exposure I thought I do the same. I did a 15 minute telephone interview for this article and I'm in one paragraph. So there isn't really much about me (except my real name) in it.

It's Over In Iraq
More and more towns are being taken over by insurgents and the Bush administration humorously maintains that the elections in Iraq will proceed in January. I can't see the United States being in Iraq another five years. Sorry for the second post of the day, but I thought this was worth discussing.
The Phoenix Program
Long before Abu Ghraib the CIA ran the Phoenix Program in Vietnam that used torture to gain information.

God's Official Party
From the New Republic RNC blog.
Soon after Hagel spoke, the acting state Republican chair--an African-American man in a white cowboy hat named Leon Mosley--urged his delegates, "Let's remember what's paramount in our life: God ... This is the GOP: God's Official Party." At that, the room burst into sustained applause. Behold, the Republican base.

Taz at Loaded Mouth took some shots of the protests at the convention. Personally, I'm with Matt Yglesias on this.

William Buckley Leaving National Review
William Buckley is leaving the National Review. He said the main reason is coming grips with his own mortality. He also had this to say about the Iraq war.
"With the benefit of minute hindsight, Saddam Hussein wasn't the kind of extra-territorial menace that was assumed by the administration one year ago," Mr. Buckley said. "If I knew then what I know now about what kind of situation we would be in, I would have opposed the war."more inside

Bush's Attacks On Vets In 2000 & 2004
President Bush has refused to condem the Swift Boat Veteran For the Truth ads. Conservative monkeys can think that's fine because it's against Kerry and Bush isn't paying for the ads (it's actually an old crony Bob Perry who is).
