a comment from languagehat made me realize that some of my perceptions on the age range here are a wee bit off - for some reason i tend to assume that most people here are around the same age as me, which more often than not turns out to be untrue. so, in an effort to get a more accurate picture of the age range, without actually being indelicate enough to just bluntly ask for the number, please give me a clue, like, say, an important world event that happened when you were in high school, or some such. come on, spill it...

Remember when the bin Laden family was allowed to be flown out of America by the FBI on Uncle Sam dollars shortly after 9/11 while the rest of America was grounded.? Now Democratics Senators are asking who approved this. The White Hose refuses to answer.
