What the hell is this? I am literally without words to describe this.
"Do not fall into the easy trap of mourning the loss of U.S. lives." Sweet Jesus.
Why
David Hockney should not be taken seriously. He claims that Early Renaissance artists including da Vinci, Michelangelo, Bougereau, Raphael, Rembrandt and others didn't really know how to draw and paint realistic images by direct observation, memory, or imagination. Instead they used a projector and traced the image.
Kakapo
are fat, green, flightless parrots whose unusual booming calls were once commonly heard on summer nights throughout New Zealand. Now just 83 are known to exist, after Aroha, Aurora and Vollie died suddenly last weekend.
Curious George: French Mefi?
Does anyone know of a mefi/mofi equivalent in french?

Potentially NSFW; Check out the Fox News Babes and the current GOP Babe of the Week, Rachel Hunter (again, potentially NSFW).
Fox News Momos
The famous John Moody talking points memos are now on online (thanks to Wonkette). Fox did this to show that they are fair and balanced because of the PR nightmare they are getting from the Robert Greenwald's documentry Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism.

The Real Ultimate Power!!!11!uno!!1!
Facts:
1. Ninjas are mammals.
2. Ninjas fight ALL the time.
3. The purpose of the ninja is to flip out and kill people.
Maybe that's why they're banned in Nebraska.

Embalming & Mortuary Science:
Thinking about a career in mortuary science or just curious?
Perhaps most of us thinking that being a doctor would be a little gross. More so, a coroner or mortician. But I have a very caring daughter that is seriously fascinated by death and things medical, and I realized that "it takes all kinds" and I'm certainly glad there are people interested in providing these vital services...more links within.

Transformus
is a "burn" in the mountains of North Carolina -- basically a small version of "Burning Man". I'd love some monkey insight on what to bring, what to expect, etc. (First post, hi everybody!)

Flogging Molly - A Guiness Soaked Musical Body Blow
More of my favorite music I'd like to share with the Monkeys. Any other fans among you?
Be Top Banana of Monkey Civilization!
Well, at least be really good at grooming. This is one of the sillier games I've seen since KoL--but it has monkeys!

Bubble Gear
handbags, totes and backpacks all contain, um, fish. Living, swimming fishies. Fish as fashion accessories: Is this idea cool or cruel?
eBay is running a pilot program for downloadable music. What will the RIAA think of this?
Pachinko Hoedown!
See Nicholas Cage square(-dance) off against shiny robots (aliens?) in quirky Japanese TV commercials for Sankyu Co Pachinko parlors. Weird/Fun. Description of Pachinko inside, but I look forward to better information from our Monkey Agents in Japan.
(Via Peter Payne and his "gaijin in Japan" updates.)
Darth Vader looks hot.
Do you like the beach? Do you like Star Wars? If so, perhaps you will like this old Rolling Stone cover as well.
I'm a fly, and I can't get out of this fly-bottle...
Is philosphy worthless? Maybe, but not more worthless than science. ArtsJournal>
