I'll start. I'll be 65 in November, female, live in an agricultural valley in California, and am a retired accountant. I've also lived in Oklahoma, Mexico and New Jersey. You might be astounded to hear that New Jersey was my favorite. I originally majored in psychology, but switched to a business degree when it became apparent that you can't do anything with psychology without a PhD. I was in Berkeley, CA, at the end of the beatnik era and the beginning of the protest/hippie era, but the only reason I hung with the radicals and bohemians was that their parties were better. (Though, the liberal Berkeley influence has stayed with me.) I've worked in a state hospital for the mentally retarded (very bad), a winery (great fun),a couple of warehouse automation places when that was the leading edge, and subsidiary of a Japanese firm which sold mainframe computers and storage. I always loved working, and high tech was fascinating since I got to talk to engineers about my curiousities. Does that make me weird? Married and divorced twice. One daughter. I have 3 cats: a Maine Coon named Whiskers who weighs 16 pounds and has asthma (we live in the area with the worst air quality in the US), a Manx called Morris, who is pretty crazy, and Spot, a half grown kitten who just decided to live here. This place attracts strays - we have rabbits and chickens who've escaped their owners, and recently had an iguana episode. I love books, and travel, and change. After about 5 years in any one place, I get the urge to move on. But, I've always thought it would be great to spend one's whole life in one perfect place. So, anyway, let us know who you are.
I'm 17, but people who meet me IRL think I'm 20 so I guess I'll sayI'm 20. I live in Dallas and wish to move out as soon as I can, maybe to Boston (ActuallySettle and I should switch or something). I like: driving around in the middle of the night, starving artists, Hello Kitty, college students, cold weather, laughing gas, schizophrenia, making out, Jewish people, smoking, New York City, late-night diners, hustlers, France, and Stanley Kubrick. I dislike: Fake British accents, the Bible Belt, the word "sodomite", narcissists, high school, marriage, faux-punk, most organized religion, perscription drugs, beaches, SUVs, pop rock ("bubblegum alternative" as my friend calls it), and the sun. I also like making weird noises, slapping people, and sexual innuendo. Bleep-bloop.I'm 34 but I'm gonna start lying and telling peopleI'm 27, 6'4", 200 lbs, dark hair, blue eyes, and separated :sniff: for about 7 months now. I play bass guitar in an original progressive metal band, just for fun and stress relief -- kinda like Tool, but a little heavier and more complex. I'm a computer programmer, own my own company (of one), and live on my own planet. I drag into work at 10:00am, dork around all day here and at MeFi, occassionally crank out some brilliant code, and get paid wheelbarrows of money for it. I have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, but my programming skills are self-taught. I drink too much and am addicted to adrenaline -- I race cars, rock climb, snow board, and drive too fast in my stoopid-fun custom turbo Miata. My cat is super-friendly, but is getting fat, so I'm training her to walk with a harness to help her keep in shape. I'm a liberal libertarian living in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. It's a nice town, but it's also the home of Bob Jones University, so my friends are valuable. For some reason, most of my friends are bartenders. I have no idea why. Oh, and I have a lovely circumsized penis.beercockpunch.
