Curious George: Holy Cereal Batman!
I got a glow-in-the-dark Shrek watch, whaddidyouget?!
What's the coolest thing you've found in your cereal box? [more inside] (first FPP, please don't hurt me!)
This morning I was a little shocked to see that there was actually a wicked awesome Glow-in-the-Dark Shrek 2 Watch in my cereal. No, really, actually IN the cereal box. I didn't have to cut the box up or send away for it, it was right there, on top of my cereal! And there I was, at twenty-something years old, running around the house on a Saturday morning screaming about my new Shrek Watch... What happened to the days when this wasn't something to call your friends about? And what kind of cool stuff have you found in your cereal box?
-
Oh no! And I messed it up! Where'd that other more inside come from?! Edit, EDIT! *sobs in corner*
-
The coolest thing I found in my cereal box was a free Nelson Mandela.
-
I got a CD-ROM of Risk in some Cheerios. That was sweet.
-
Danapiper - what brand? I like Shrek, and I really need a watch :)
-
It was good ol' Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It's pretty chintzy but it does glow, which just plain rocks as far as I'm concerned.
-
The most interesting thing I found i my cereal box was breakfast: Frosties.
-
I remember the good old days when they would have prizes in teh cereal box "just because." They didn't need any marketing tie ins. I remember this cool fishing game on the gack of some cereal where you got a plastic part in the ceral and had to cut the back of the box up for the other part. It rocked so hard!
-
the glow-in-the-dark Spooky Pirate from Cap'n Crunch or the little submarine that dove in the bathtub when you put baking soda inside. They were pretty cool.
-
Ever since watching Arachnophobia, finding anything other than cereal in a cereal packet has scared the living bejeebus out of me. *shudders*
-
Ebola.
-
I remember, a long time ago, that I got some out-of-circulation bank notes from a box of Cheerios.
-
It's surprising, but I couldn't find a website about the sort of free stuff you can get in cereal boxes. The internet is slacking. When I was little you could get a little plastic wheel and a piece of thin plastic with a slot in it, and when you flicked the plastic over the wheel it would go for miles! Literally! There were also little white plastic figurines that represented different countries, and I think they glowed in the dark. Classy.

Cheerios has been giving out kids books like Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type. My daughter & I have collected all of them. What are the odds of that?
-
Wayne Brady.
-
Banana Nut Crunch. *blissful sigh*
-
GOP Log Cabin Link'em Logs--- collect the whole set!
-
Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type. OH! I want. I want!!! I stole a copy of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom from a gal when I was in NM, but I can't find the boxes with the books in them here in ID. *cries I really really really want to read Cows. A told B and B told C, "I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree." Classic.
-
A jagged metal Krusty-O. Oh, wait, that was Bart.
-
Click Clack Moo is the shiz of kid lit. My wife and I just recently got a copy for our three-year-old niece. Oppressed barnyard animals of the world, unite! Oh, and I once found a Crunchberry in my Peanut Butter Crunch. That's as cool as it gets for me, unless you count the inflatable sheep I got in my box of Pervy-O's.
