In "Finance and trade under Edward III: The London lay subsidy of 1332"

Also, also. I will spell correctly. I will spell correctly. I will spell correctly. I will spell correctly. I will spell correctly...

Alos great in a similar topic Scotland, Scandinavia and Northern Europe (1580 - 1707) database.

In "Globish"

Got to be agreeing with the languagehat there, nothing to see here...move on.

In "The Most Important Games Ever Made"

Elite not being on there is mildly insane. It is however an American list. A UK specific one would be quite different. As for important games how about Lemmings? Because no Lemmings, no DMA Design, No GTA. It's also awesome. A list like that without Robotron is quite strange, I'd even accept Jeff Minter's beautiful and insane Llamatron as an acceptable shoutout. Jet Set Radio should clearly be in there, just for the cell shading, although Jet Set Radio Future (the Xbox sequel) is actually a significantly better game. But my 'most important game' that's not on there? Either Sonic Adventure or Skies Of Arcadia On Dreamcast, for their VMU games. The interaction between a handheld experience and the 'main' game blew my mind and still continues to do so. Pervasive gameplay is where it's at.

In "Curious George: Web Design for Mac OSX"

Nvu is pretty class, nice and simple. But honestly, as people above have said, Dreamweaver is the best. Give it a blast though.

In "MoFirenze meetup"

I'll be there! (oh, she said that)

In "Hand painted Russian film posters"

I love that 50 first dates one. Top stuff.

Go Ellen!

In "Monkeyfilter nominated for Best Community Weblog "

These are the real proper bloggies and yes, vote and get your friends to vote. Also your enemies.

In "London Underground: shoot them all with a rifle"

In fairness to the Underground it's worse to commute into London by car. Much, much worse.

In "Zookeeper"

Top game. The fact that this is coming out on the Nintendo DS is the entire reason I'm going to buy one when they come out here in March. It should rock on touch screen.

In "Jobs unveils cheaper Mac..."

yeah, post Ubuntu stuff. Warty Warthog will be teh bomb to run on the iMac Mini. None of this freaky OS X stuff for me.

In "Wanker!"

Wanker is clearly rather good but I don't think you should limit yourself to it, similar to 'ass' it can be used as a modifier in a number of useful compound words, such as asstatic|wanktastic.

In "Six Apart, parent company of Movable Type and TypePad, are buying LiveJournal."

traicle: the code is GPLed so they can't take it away. That's part of the reason the GPL exists. Of course they can stop releasing future improvements or relicence all their internal contributions to whatever they like but they can't stop you taking a snapshot of the codebase on the day before they announce this and developing with it forever,

Er so someone posts what is essentially an unsubstantiated rumour on their site and suddenly everyone is like 'the world is falling!' any non echo chamber confirmation? Oh and like any good social software platform thing it matters not one jot if the entire userbase of livejournal are obnoxious oiks if you and your friends are on it. Because you don't have to see anyone elses posts.

In "The Moscow Metro"

The Moscow subway is supercool, I'd encourage you to go, it's my second favourite underground system after London (but then again I'm biased). Yet amazing as it is, just like the Pyramids or great wall of China every time you look at it try and remember that this thing was built with slave labour.

In "First Monday"

Social Science at 190MPH on NASCARs biggest Speedways is my particular favourite of theirs, always worth reading. Have a look through their 'Best Mondays' collection for more inspiration (something more big content sites should have).
