Very cool. I think they look best when you expand the images to their largest size and sit back from the screen a bit. I'm glad I always keep a pair of 3-D glasses near my computer!
My pleasure! I just enjoy robots (I grew up watching a lot of sci-fi movies from the 1950s on "Creature Features".) This seems like it might be a fun hobby to take up.
I am a Christian myself, but my faith certainly does not rely on the Shroud of Turin being authentic or not. I am primarily interested in the subject because of the mystery involved. It will, of course, never be solved to everyone's satisfaction.
There's a lot of good discussion here, though, and I find it all very interesting. There is a part of me that would really like for the shroud to be genuine. However, the sceptic in me will never accept it 100%. And ultimately, it does not matter. True faith has to be based on more than a flimsy, stained cloth. Still, it would be cool to have some physical evidence of the man; even if it proves nothing.
I'm not really a "hog man" myself, but I do appreciate the appearance of these machines. I am also fascinated with vintage anything, and those old ads really struck my fancy.
Sorry about your bad experiences with hogs and biker types, though. Certainly didn't mean to dredge up old memories.
My name is Mark, and I am funky.
I have my own links blog and appreciate the wonders of the internet in all of its diverse glory. I am naturally drawn to sites like MonkeyFilter.
I live in Iowa with my wife (married almost half a year now!) Elly. I am very fond of vintage sci-fi/horror movies. I am particularly fond of the 1950s genre of the film. I watched a lot of "Creature Features" while I was growing up. I turn 42 years old on the 27th of this month.
How's that?
She should have asked some questions before becoming a nun. Though I don't see any questions listed there about what if you want to be a prostitute and a nun. (There is one, however, about what if you want to be a singer and a nun.)
It's hard to describe what you are missing here. I can only tell you that it involves William Shatner with an oddly reptilian expression on his face screaming for his nemesis. It's obviously a very dramatic moment for our hero. Damn, I wish that link would have worked!
Story of my life. My first post on Monkey Filter and it's a bust. Actually, a bust would have at least been something. I'll try to make it up to you all later. (The link, btw, still works for me.)

I imagine this would be very educational if I could stop looking at the pictures. Thanks!

My friends would have had a lot of fun calling in bogus reports on me. And I would have done the same to them if they had such stickers on their cars.
