It's all about the poppy seed bagel. I do one of two things: toasted poppy seed bagel with chive cream chease and lox or toasted poppy seed bagel with honey mustard, big slices of brie chease and tomato

Have you thought about connecting your iPod to your car stereo directly? I did this last summer and now I have a spiffy little setup. My stereo has an aux. jack in back and drilled a whole for the wire up through to the glove compartment. Now I have perfect sound, no interference, and it is not at all obvious that there is an ipod in the car. The whole thing cost me ten bucks and a half our of work.

It helps to replace one habbit with another--hopefully something healthy. For example, if you want a cigarette drink a bottle of water instead. Sure you'll go through a lot of water, but you'll be well hydrated! Personally, I've found it useful to do things I would not have been able to do if I was still smoking. Go to the gym, go running, play some basketball. It feels wonderful (after a week or two) to have fresh air in your lungs. More importantly: good food! You'll taste flavors and textures you've forgotten exist.

in response to 'ian would say' question about who reads The Economist - a lot more than businessmen read it. A large student population, heck, anyone interested in govt or politics my age reads it at least once in a while. Unlike U.S. News or Newsweek or Time, The Economist's articles are better researched, more thought out, and provide for a much better understanding of the world. as for the endorsement, it's not all that surprising . The Economist did initally support the war in Iraq but has been slowly retreating from that position.

I drive a 1990 Acura Integra RS. It's a sweet little car, and I've just broke 200,000 miles! It's red, has two doors, and goes vroom vroom, what more could a college kid want?

hmmm, I got it! It's like a magic eye thing, you stare at it long enough and the 'real message' pops out in front.

caution live frogs is right, SourceForge is a great source for software (pun intended?). Also, don't forget to check out freshmeat.net. Oh yeah, these sites cater to the osX/*nix crowd so Windows users wont find these sites quite as useful.

If you want to speed up browsing in Mozilla use firebird instead. Granted, it's beta unlike the Mozilla suite but it is noticeably faster. Also, I'm not sure if this is true about Mozilla but if you type about:config in the url bar a long list of config options will appear. set browser.turbo.enabled to true and firebird will reside in memory even after you quit the application. This leads to quicker ie-esque start times.

47% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category. Not all that surprising. I grew up in New England but Russian is my native lanugage. Makes for all sorts of funny mixing.
