More gripping than CSI.
But also a lot more dangerous. Fredy Peccerelli's family have been forced to flee from Guatemala to the United Kingdom by his work - unearthing the forensic evidence associated with the mass killings of previous murderous regimes.
-
I met Freddy three years ago at an American Anthropologists' Association conference - he's a brilliant man and even then he alluded to the dangers of his job. Suffice to say they're always in need of volunteers to help the Guatemalan forensic anthropology team. This is something on the list of things I want to do before I get old, since I plan on eventually getting my PhD in forensic anthropology. It's challenging, frightening, but infinitely rewarding work.

"You're not in Guatemala any more, Dr Tracicle."

*snort* Can't believe I spelled Fredy's name wrong.
