Infectious Disease Research in and Around New Orleans. What happened to the diseased research monkeys at the Tulane National Primate Research Center?

Their website just returns a Error 400 - Bad Request. Via BB.

  • Not being familiar the mode of transfer for any of these diseases, I have no idea to think of this as a threat or no big deal. But I did just get an Outbreak/The Stand vibe thinking about how everyone from New Orleans is being transported all across the country. Maybe this is why they're being put in detainment camps?
  • If they got caught in the flood, I hope the pumps are equipped with a monkeyfilter.
  • This seems like it could be a not very good thing. It also (tin foil hat time, crinkle crinkle) could be seen as a possible reason why the federal government dithered going into New Orleans - might be they wanted to make sure there wasn't some Resident Evil action going on down there? yeargh.
  • Like all the stuff they were worried about is quick acting, and runs full course in maybe 5 days?
