The eerie animal art of Donald Roller Wilson
FLASH-INTENSIVE WEBSITE Something amusing, unnerving and beautiful for a worrisome and contentious time.
This post hereby dedicated to TenaciousPettle, who introduced me to Wilson's art.
I also wanna shout out to li'l Moe with the gimpy leg. Don't give up the dance, brother.

Wilson is great, and more than a little creepy. Dig that crazy phallic imagery. Together with the smiling chimps with crazy eyes, it's good old fashioned nightmare fuel. The wife and I used to live down the street from Wilson's studio in Fayetteville, AR. The building used to be a grain storehouse, or something. Freaky stuff. Perfect for an artist.

I digged Wilson for years. Seem to be many with the name Wilson I dig. Wish I could afford to hang his shit on the wall.

One of my wife's best friends worked for Wilson as a personal assistant. We have a signed print of one of his exhibition posters in the den, which was a wedding present. I hear Robin Williams is a big Wilson collector.

Excellent art. Thanks.

The website reminds me of the old Resident's CD-Rom. Anybody remember that? I think it was called Freakshow?

(let ((topic 'off)) (format 'bananas "Does anyone know of a decent flash player available in source form? Sad old Unix geeks miss so much community fun without the Flash thing"))

Can't help you there, Chaz, but Google image search turns up about three pages of stuff, if you're looking for a taste.
