Cycling -
The Smithsonian's History of the Bicycle. The Exploratorium's Science of Cycling.
  • Hey, these are pretty kickass. I'd seriously like to ride a bike on a railroad using those attachments... with the understanding that a train isn't going to come barreling my way. For those who are really interested in learning far more than is ever necessary about bikes, I'd highly recommend Bicycle: the history, by David V. Herlihy.
  • cog_nate: taking the train out of the equation is like taking the fun out of saurkraut! I don't like riding bikes. One reason is that I have crappy knees. The other is that those skinny seats HURT! I do like reading about bikes, though, peakay. Thanks.
