  • Lady bug, lady bug, fly away home. Your house is on fire, your kids are alone.............
  • Lady bird, lady bird, fly away home! Your house is on fire! Your children will burn -- all except one, her name is Ann, and she's hiding under the frying pan. is the version I leanred.
  • Ladybug! Ladybug! Fly away home. Your house is on fire. And your children all gone. All except one, And that's little Ann, For she crept under The frying pan. is actually the version I learned but we changed it from gone to alone because of the rhyme. But I like your twisted"burn" sister version mo better ladybugwacky.
  • Lady Bird, Lady Bird, Fly away home. Your house is on fire; Your children will burn. -- from The Annotated Mother Goose, by William S. and Ceil Baring-Gould The authors add: this is the first rhyme in the oldest known book of nurery rhymes, and then go on to say some later versions added these lines: All except one, And that's little Ann, And she has crept under the warming pan.
