Simon of Space
is a serialized science fiction story about a man who loses his memory and has to rediscover his identity in a large and wonderful galaxy. Two or three new chapters are posted each week. Get in on the action now, we're heading towards quite a climax!

the machine went ping! sorry, lost me there.

Wait, there's a guy called "Pish"? Is this taking the pish or what?

Haven't read science fiction for nigh onto 30 years, and this seems pleasantly different from the stuff I read way back then, so I'll keep going.

The dangers of first person narratives is that you have to guard against the narrator having knowledge eh shouldn't. More so when the narrator is supposed to be as completely naive as Simon is supposed to be. There's also the fact that in an effort to supply the readers with specific knowledges, there are events and conversations that are just to contrived. Dispite these flaws, I do like some of the ideas being explored. I'll look past the bad storytelling, and instead look at the good story (so far).

Interesting, but I can't be bothered spending the time catching up. Plus, I'm not allowed to take the computer to bed.

Yeah that guy is great. I really loved the stuff he did just before episode three: www.darthside.blogspot.com

For anyone who likes sci-fi of a military bent, Under Three Suns might be your kind of thing. It's a novella in six parts. It was written by a friend I've done some collaboration with in the past, and whose writing I greatly admire. I contributed nothing to the writing here; this is all his work.
