Scorsese does Pennebaker does Dylan does Dylan
A feature length Dylan-narrated documentary 'No Direction Home' is set for television/dvd release soon. There's also a parallel release of a double-cd soundtrack -- The Bootleg Series Vol.7 -- and a scrapbook.

Previous monkeying with Dylan.

It might not be possible for me to be more excited about this. I have been following the progress of this since I heard that Scorsese was undertaking the project many months ago.

Great post. I don't have a chance in hell of seeing the documentary, so I'll have to settle for the bootleg. Last one was a lot of scratch, as I recall -- I'll have to start saving.

Thanks for the heads up peacay! Wow, bootleg volume seven. I've fallen behind, the last one i got was v.3 and I heard vaguely about v.5...
-
StoryBored I wouldn't feel too bad. I was perusing this site the other day. Just extraordinary!! I knew there was a whole underground elitist thing happening trying to record every utterance and song but...sheesh!

Egad. That's some devotional fan thang there. I don't think i can rightly call myself a fan, if that's the benchmark.

Geez, even I'm not that devoted. Anyway, StoryBored, if you plan to get another one, get volume 4. It's just about the most important, infamous Dylan concert. If not for the inclusion of "Blind Willie McTell" on the first set, which makes it tougher, I'd say it's the best in the series.

Thanks Smo! I'll check it out.
