An old story, no boubt, but one which should put to rest the idea that close-knit communites in small town America aren't capable of producing some genuinely twisted individuals (if that idea is somehow still miraculously floating around out there.)

This tale didn't show up on a search of Monkeyfiler, so here it is . . .

  • There's a paragraph at the top of the 'post new link' page that you might want to give a bit of a read....
  • Well, that was a sad and pathetic look into the obsessive/compulsive mind of a murderer. But it wasn't that much different than many similar stories that I have read.
  • Most sensationalistic writing EVAR. I don't like reading about criminals (does knowing more about the crimes make it more interesting somehow?), so I didn't read past the first page but I wanted to know what the story was about. Man, whatever happeded to the journalistic notion of putting the summary of the story in the first paragraph?
  • "A good post . . . is something that meets the following criteria: most people haven't seen it before, there is something interesting about the content on the page, and it might warrant discussion from others." Is this what you meant, Chyren? I apologize if this was a waste of your time, primates, though I think the post essentially met those requirements (admittedly, it did fail in the sense that it was "Linking to something old." In the interest of full disclosure, I spent several years in the community where this took place, and was interested in hearing what others might have to say about it. Please forgive a rank "newby." Next . . .
  • No it was a good post. It was the part about trying to only post once a day. The apes get screechy about things like that.
  • >>In 1951, without warning, it gave birth to a monster. *que creepy music* run!
  • *que creepy music* Cue Manuel: "¿Qué?"
  • hee hee!
  • and of course i meant, "queue." or better yet, "queueue."
  • ¿dónde está la música espeluznante? La música espeluznante está en su cabeza.
  • Thanks Chyren, I'll certainly keep that in mind from now on. I did read the part about limiting posts, but it seemed like more of a suggestion than a hard-and-fast rule at the time. In any case, I'm unlikely to become a postaholic, but I do love the conversations that go on here. Best to all.
  • have a banana, sysrq!
  • In 1980, I was five years old living in Salt Lake City. Huh. That explains some of the worry my parents had about me walking around on my own. I never heard of this guy until now. Thanks.
