Last chance to get in on the June CD swap! Signups close June 1. Groups will be announced shortly afterwards, and the tentative mailing deadline is Friday, June 17.

Does that sound OK with everyone? I know it wasn't the most popular timeframe, but the results were split and finding a good compromise time for everyone has been difficult. Again, signups are still open, so if you want in, get in now. All the information on this round as well as how to sign up can be found here at the previous thread.

  • I would have, but late May was finals season for me unfortunately. Plus, that would've required finding out which swap each person was able to do. I figured this way would have been easier... I'm sorry if this is an inconvenience to some.

  • Thanks for getting this ready! I am now a bit panicked over getting it done for the 17th, but maybe that can be slightly flexible (i.e. mailing it the Monday after would be fine, right? Because if I have that weekend, it's all good).
  • livii: I just picked a Friday because that's what Shotsy always did. As for the Monday thing, I certainly can't say I've not sent CDs late before, and in both previous swaps I've participated in half my group has sent it the Monday after the Friday deadline, so probably no worries. It's in everyone's best interest that you let your group know that before you do, though.
  • Now that I think about it, a Monday deadline makes wayyy more sense.

  • I've been away from a PC for quite a while, so this is my first chance to say this, excuse its lateness. But MsVader's most recent cd IS THE SHIT! While working the NY State Fair I was ensconced across from this fried dough place continuously repeating bad dance music, bad eighties music, and selections Paul Simon's "Graceland" (don't ask, cuz I don't know either) -- and this disc was the perfect antidote to that. Many bananas your way!
  • Not to rain on your parade waraw, but Group 2 (eschewed, Fes, kittenhead, mandyman, sugarmilktea, and The Mox) WAS, and IS THE SHIT!! We even had guava goodness to boot. *SNIFFFF* Now, how about sending over a copy of MsVader's mix!?

  • *looks very, very guilty* I owe my group from the last swap a CD still, and now that I have extracted an M&M packet from my PC's CD drive I can actually burn them. Only...three months late!

  • Oh, and sure, I'll post MsVader's list as soon as I get my car back from the shop, where the cd currently resides and my own list as well as soon as I get back to my own PC, which is far from me at the moment, give me a couple weeks.
  • Pfft, Waraw, my mixes are generally unexciting anyway. I'm thinking I'll do another kiwi-flavoured mix this time.
