  • /cold stare
  • This is a joke, right? RIGHT??
  • i too remember 1999...
  • I thought this meme died 300 years ago...
  • Wow... It's like a time machine...only not really.
  • Such an unforgiving bunch of monkeys! No patience, have ye?
  • Tangent on old web things: You know, I actually remember when I first heard of Google. I remember having it written down on a slip of paper. I remember the first time I saw the mothership. I didn't grasp the point of all the talking. (I started reading it later; Mofi wasn't even a glimmer in anyone's eye at the time.) I remember the first time I saw the internet, ever. After most of you I'm sure, blah blah sooldschool, but still. It wasn't that long ago. I first saw the 'net in (late) 1995. Maybe it's because I'm young-ish-sort-of, but ten years doesn't seem like it should feel like forever. /old-web-stuff-tangent
  • You're like...young and stuff... Why, when I was your age, I had to hard code my own logon scripts in vt100 uphill both ways in a snowstorm.
  • now that's funny.
  • I always preferred SuperBad.
  • Wurwilf, same here. My first year of university, they gave me an email address and I was flummoxed as to how to use it. Then I found Usenet, and it was all downhill from there.
  • Yep. 92 was they year I first played online. And to think that beore that, people actually WORKED all day instead of fucking about on the web. Amazing. It must have been very boring being a cube dweller in the 80s. What on Earth would anyone do in between paychecks?
  • Fuck your mom
  • Heh. I never jumped aboard the Good Ship Internet until 2001. Now it's like contemplating how much better life is since our species opted for skeletons instead of being wiggly bags of protoplasm.
  • internet is good
  • fuckity shit bags
  • I kiss you!
