Secret wall tatoos. The next time you stay in a hotel, check behind the so called art on the wall. You might find some real art underneath. (via Jorn)
  • Fantastic.
  • I love this. It's delightfully mischevious.
  • MeFi May 11, 2005.
  • very, very cool.
  • MeFi May 11, 2005. oops
  • Amusing. deconstructo: it doesn't matter if something's been posted in another forum just so it's not been posted here previously. Many monkeys don't read other on a regular basis, if at all.
  • I second your comment beeswacky. I never swing over there... Glad to see this posted here. This is great. Reminds me of my freshman year in college - I went to great lengths to remove a mirror that was on my bedroom wall (dormitory stuff). There was a really nice illustration behind it, signed and dated 1974 as I recall (this was in 1990). Felt like I stumbled on someone's secret...
  • beeswacky: I didn't intend my MeFi link as criticism of the post. If I was gonna snark, I would. I'm not flinging bananas! I provided the link in case any monkeys wanted to take a swing over to see what the other conversations were.
  • deconstructo is a swinger?
  • deconstructo is a swinger? posted by SideDish Hey--my kids might read this! If you mean, do I wander over into the Blue, yeh, I do.
  • Is "the blue" code for some unspeakably lewd act? Just askin.
  • I, too, click on both sides of the 'net.
  • Appalling.
  • noooooo i mean SWINGER silly your kids aren't into that?
  • MRTOYS? MRDUCKS!
  • deconstricto, sometimes timing is all. One of the difficulties I encounter in understanding a particular comment in any thread is that meaning becomes cumulative, so that comments aren't understood only in isolation. To that degree a thread is similar to an actual telephone offline conversation, but lacking many vocal nuances. So there's built-in ambiguity in this type of communication. Never seen anything written about this, but I'm sure others observe it, too. Nor was I trying to be critical, just stating information about monkey members' known habits for benefit of newcomers.
  • This link is REALLY SWEET. I will never, ever go into a hotel room without checking behind the pictures. And I'll make sure to always have a sharpie with me. Just wish I could draw...
  • it's easy to draw, wendell...you just put your lips together and blow...
  • sexyrobot, I thought that was how you became a White House intern?
  • And, may I add, you have confused Weezel with Wendell. Why should you be troubled with such trivial stuff as a monkey's name when you can't even keep a t shirt on your back.
  • MonkeyFilter: It's delightfully mischevious. MonkeyFilter: there's built-in ambiguity in this type of communication. ...just stating information about monkey members' known habits for benefit of newcomers. Bees, please don't do very much of that. We don't want to discourage the new members from hanging around. It's so hard to attract the right type.
  • Having been the poster at the Blue...I do often wonder about cross-polination. I am not sure why, but it feels wrong for me to post the same link across both boards...as if I would have to write it up differently to post them. Many of my blue links are posted here by other people which saves me the trouble of coming up with something new and clever to type. So which is it? Go ahead and post to both sides with the same text? (I do only link stuff if it really is the best of the web)...or let someone else decide to pick it up and post from one to the other (I do lose creative control then...not to mention propz!) Your thoughts are most welcome (if anyone is still reading this thread). btw, this link was originally found via this board...
