Aquatic Ape or not these monkies are no strangers to the wet. Tom Sietas, breath holder extroadinaire (Video). Equally amazing is Loic Leferme who has dived to 171 meters without any breathing apparatus.

Inspired by The Great Blue a languid film about free-diving.

  • I reckon the adaptations highlighted by the Aquatic Ape people actually sprang from thousands of years standing around in pouring rain.
  • ie. they were Brits, Plegmund? good links :) I've made my way through the first one, going through the rest now.
  • Recently read "The Dive: a Story of Love and Obsession" written by free diver Pipin Ferreras, and have to say that's worth a read if you want to see the Everest-disaster side of free diving (ie: when ego and danger mix, and mix badly).
  • *shudders* /longtime air-breather
  • I'm telling you, DON'T look at the sky when it's raining. And get out from under that tree.
