that's huge!! who believes in UFO's anyways??? nonetheless, google maps is cool, wish it was higher mag.
-
Fascinating! Where'd you find that?
-
Cool. Following the via link leads to this discussion which offers some possibilities for what that mysterious object is...
-
People are always so slow to note the obvious. It looks to me like a Septerian 426 model used primarily for newspaper deliverly from the the Tronardus sector, though it may be as simple as Urosis freight carrier that has mistaken Earth for Vlartake.
-
My first thought was: "Cor, someone left the thumbtack on the map. Boy, are they in trouble."
-
Um...I don't see it. What am I looking for?
-
Call Phil Klass, stat!
-
Um...I don't see it. What am I looking for? a little greyish circular blob near the coastline in the middle of the map image.
-
Seriously, is it the top of one of those big water towers? Dont know why its so blurry around the edges though...
-
or a balloon of some sort?
-
yeah...the blurry is suspicious...very likely it would have to be close enough to the camera, and therefore quite small, to be out of focus. assuming of course that the camera is set at infinity...being (likely) more than 300 miles up....maybe its a balloon? but don't hot air balloons have openings on top? or no? weather balloon?
-
Looks like a drop of water on the lens.

I'm telling you that's NOT a UFO. It's the giant Flying Eyeball that George put up to look for WMDs.
