Beautiful Majorettes. "This site is dedicated to the majorettes and pom-pom girls who parade in Menton during 3 weeks for the yearly Lemon Feast (La Fête du Citron). Most of the photos are a selection of majorettes from Slavic countries. They march in the streets, the roads and the places of the city in the morning , afternoon and sometimes the night." Lots of cool pics!

  • Here's a little summary of theThe Lemon Fest: France's lemon capital is also the city with the highest average age in France - its balmy climate making it the ideal retirement haven - but the spirit is resolutely young at heart when the lemon harvest is celebrated each February. Get your fix of vitamin C as you admire huge constructions made out of citrus fruits. The fruity floats parade through the streets every Sunday during the festival and are visible in the Jardins Biovès daily. I wonder what the rate of incidence of coronary events are when the vector of "highest average age in France" collides with "Beautiful Majorettes"?
