Carogi bags. This is, by far, my one possession that gets the most comments and questions. In fact, I own two of them and just ordered another. If you're looking for a gorgeous, versatile, reasonably-priced purse-backpack thingie, this is for you. I really love them!
  • disclaimer: i do not own stock in nor stand to make any money from this, it's just a little-known product i love. i found it when i asked a woman who was wearing one where SHE got it, that's how they've become popular
  • There's a Japanese girl in London's Camden Town who does stuff like that, including blouses, skirts and dresses. But mostly backpack stuff like that, with straps and pouches, so you can change the configuration of the bag. Very interesting stuff, but a little expensive.
  • ah, my mother and grandmother both got these about 10 years ago and used them extensively. very nice bags.
  • Carogi Blue? ;) Just kiddin' these look pretty cool. Maybe a certain someone needs one of these.
  • They're okay, I guess, but I hate it when they get tipsy and hog the microphone.
  • Thanks SideDish! I've been in the market for a cool bag, and these are certainly less expensive than the Freitag bags that I've been looking at. Do you have fabric or leather? I love the patchworky ones but wonder if they would be more vulnerable to wear?
  • both of mine are fabric and they've been wearing great. i'm pretty hard on purses too.
  • As an official bag-slut, I approve. For further monkey-bag discussion go here.
  • Those are neat. Wish I had seen them two weeks ago when I was struggling to find a bag to tote to a conference. I ended up with a crappy messenger bag.
  • I like the "book bag" which seems to be the only squarish type one pictured. Those Freitag bags are interesting, kimdog. I'm not even sure what used "truck tarp" is, but it has an appealing, slightly irridescent quality to it.
