Validating your speciesist opinions, kinda, sorta--
or at least giving you an out when referring to certain someones as subhuman in mixed company.
just hoping to amuse and check my posting ability (thanks again, tracicle)

You're coming through loud and clear over here!

I've heard and read in a few different places that George and Laura have a nickname - "Bushie" that both use for the other. I wonder if bushi is pronounced the same way.

hi, ethylene!

what? no comments on a bushy miller or anyone who is particularly vaderi? shocking

Hiya, ethylene, good to see you around again! Seems hard luck on the innocent slime critters to be named after some or other politician. But those are the breaks in the world of slimes.

Beetles are majorly diverse and pretty. Slime-mold beetles... I don't know. As for slime molds, here's something I never knew (and am not sure if I should believe ;) The medieval artist Hieronymus Bosch, known for his fantastic paintings of Heaven and Hell, was also a meticulous painter of natural history. In his painting Garden of Earthly Delights, one scientist found representations of at least 22 species of slime molds.

Also, there's already a Rove beetle. Looks like it's a family (Staphilinidae) of common compost dwellers.
