We Stand As One. Guy on beach + thousands of flags + balls of light which are really angels + film clips of firefighters = Tribute?

I don't want to belittle anyone's (probably) heartfelt wish to help those who grieve a lost loved one, but WTF? Is anyone comforted or inspired by this kind of sappy hokum? People in other countries -- do you have to put up with this sort of nonsense? Is there an English Lee Greenwood? Are there singers wandering the canals of Madrid making insipid music videos about the tragedy there last year?

  • this is almost worse than the scary naked lipstick lady.
  • Somebody edited this with the 'america, fuck yeah' song from Team America. Can't be bothered linking it, not worth it.
  • And Eurovision Song contestants everywhere now have something to aspire to.
  • Every single person that has uttered "united we stand" or something similar has displayed their lack of sincerity by not aligning their views to mine.
  • I wish the singer were in front of me so I could show my appreciation with a heavy dose of projectile vomiting . . .
  • ))) "Ammerukaaa!"
  • All I have to say is I thought Alice Cooper was better than this. And he looks like shit without the mascara. :Þ
  • It's worth remembering that the genius performing this was also the stunt coordinator for various Star Trek series. So, we are talking about a near-insnae serendipity of sincere passion, regular head trauma and the casual acknowledgement of superior beings floating above us. That kind of union of the spheres doesn't happen often...
  • Was that Alice Cooper? Please say not.
