The Straight Girl's Guide to Sleeping with Chicks
  • har.
  • stiff
  • If you're a straight girl, why would you want to? Am I missing something here?
  • Huh?
  • Eh, self identified straight girls sleep with girls now and then. It happens. Big deal. Kinsey scale, and all that. Girls also masterbate. Yay us. I don't understand why this is a big deal, and the one line amazon post is kind of...offensive, in a way. As if bi-curious masterbating women is a shocking thing. Grow up.
  • My goodness, what big hands you have Mr. Bate.
  • What mefi said......
  • mecurious, but yellow.
  • Had to point out the adorable truism (and subliminal shout-out!) from the Amazon excerpt: 4. Women's bodies are unbelievably soft! They're like the softest pillows in the world. This has made me totally understand why men go apeshit over us.
  • What? No pictures?
  • hey, how about a straight girl's guide to sleeping with ME?
  • Customers who bought this book also bought • Big Yawn, The • So What? • WTF!
  • Equal-opportunity libido? It's news to you that women enjoy sex? I'm really sorry to hear that. So how about the opposite, so we can perve on straight boys giggling over each other? No? Yeah, didn't think so. Double standard, and all that.
  • Hey let's find out where he lives and then go beat the shit out of him! (So it's a sub-par post. Big fucking deal. Go to mefi if you want to complain about fpp quality all day long.)
  • what stray said
  • Author's self-created list of her own works of erotica. No thanks, I prefer the more free-form content of alt.sex.stories.
  • Women masturbate? Call me a skeptic, but I'm going to need more than Stray's word on this.
  • regarding the question of why an (ostensibly) straight girl would want to have sex with another female, one thing to keep in mind is the difference between the dynamics of sexual interaction and the dynamics of relationships and emotional interaction. I like to have sex with women. yes, they are wonderful soft and yummy in many ways, but me personally, I would NEVER want to be in a relationship with a woman *shudder*. women are complicated and difficult and to whom would I whine about my menstrual cramps in expectation of babying?? personally, emotionally, I have a preference for men in relationships (har). I guess I think the social impact of "sexual orientation" or "gender orientation" or whatever is more pertinent in regards to one's relationship choices than random acts of sex, which are ostensibly more private. this message brought to you by "Ostensibly", the word of the day in Medusaland :D
  • oh, and Wurwilf, I hear ya, and personally, I find straight-boy on straight-boy action to be one of the hottest things under the sun. woohoo!!!
  • Gay sex is teh hawt. I'm straight, though. Not that there's oh fuck it's so cliche I can't finish the sentence.
  • fugu -- don't you get tired of the preponderance of stuff marked humil, NC, pedo, rape, et al?
  • I don't actually read ass. 'Twas a rhetorical device. (That vibrates.)
  • ....Did anybody else read the introduction?
  • toohep: I did. The actual book content sounds better than the book's title (that was probably chosen more by the publisher than the author, maybe?)
  • Saith Lucifurby: Women masturbate? Hell, I'm still amazed at reading that women get turned on. Can anyone else corroborate that?
  • WARAW- I know those others (pedo, NC), but what's et. al? (I kid).
  • et. al. - Latin, "With Al." Lucky guy.
  • It's news to you that women enjoy sex? I'm really sorry to hear that.
You might enjoy life a lot more if you didn't put quite so much effort into misreading what other people write so you can feel offended.
  • I'm offended that anyone would be offended by this.
  • I was being facetious on that part, rodgerd. It was an easy joke. Behind that easy joke is an assumption that does bother me, that women are either frigid bitches aghast at sex or mindless vixens who will hump anything, and not normal people with sex drives like anyone else - but that assumption is mostly in my appalling peer group, and I wouldn't ascribe that to this group at all. So unclench a bit, yeah. What annoyed me (88, if you must know! heh) is the "can I watch?" headline on Mefi, because as we all know, any time women do anything sexual at all, with anyone, it's all about men and getting them off. But that's another personal peeve and not worth getting into. Also, I think bisexuality needs a better rep; why the insistence on calling yourself a Kinsey 10 when you're not? Is there some metric by which it doesn't "count"? How does that work? So yeah, the attitude does annoy me. It's not a big giant thing, but it annoys me a little. Just because I sound mildly annoyed doesn't mean I'm jumping up and down screaming. I'm trying to find it entertaining while also wishing it didn't exist. So... chill.
  • All I meant was that the logic behind 'Women get off on other women...big deal!' also applies to 'Men get off on women getting off on other women...big deal!'. Neither one should be offensive. It's all good.
  • Most women I know are bi, and I live in Greenville, South Carolina -- home of Bob Jones U. Then again, I probably hang with different crowds than most.
  • I'm having some hot me-on-me action right now. I think I'll write a book.
  • Include crayon drawings.
  • And a sock.
  • Shhh! Nostril will find out!
  • what tool said.
  • sock is so hide-it-from-mom.
  • Just don't hide it under the mattress. Why does every kid do that and figure mom will never find it? a new set of stupidity every generation
  • Also, I think bisexuality needs a better rep; why the insistence on calling yourself a Kinsey 10 when you're not? The Kinsey scale only goes to 6, and the low end is "straight." 0=perfect hetero, 1=a lot hetero 2=a little hetero 3=perfect bisexual 4=a little homo 5=a lot homo 6=perfect homo
