• Honest question: How do you know this isn't just a sneaky way to redirect people to porn sites and collect revenue?
• the vast majority of images randomly sampled from the internet are pornographic or lame In my experience, they're often both.
• There used to be something I had fun with - a strange collage of images from the internet. A bit like this, but showing you many images at once, and not so many adult ones (though a few - but you didn't have to click on them). It was a really fun thing for random browsing, cat picture here, school band picture there. Anyone know what it's called? If it still exists?
• Man...porn is so stupid looking. Remind me to never get a fake nail French manicure.

• That's it, thanks. Fun stuff. Right now I have a sunset,chinese dragon, someone from the Bush Admin, a pizza, 1/2 a face, some canoers, a doggie, a painting, and there in corner, a bit of porn.

• The first eleven I looked at were porn. Then I stopped. That does not seem like much of a representation. I share Alex's suspicion on this one.

• I actually got 3 that were non-porn... 2 group friend photos, and a picture of someone's house... of course, that was out of about 20... I did, however, keep getting one image (another 3 out of 20) for bestbabes.coolio.com/images (or something similar to that), just a URL, no image. So I guess it could be viral marketing for that. Still... it's like an iPorn Shuffle!!!! w00t!
• Although I understand the symbolism, I simply don't see why it is considered 'sexy' for these women who have a finger stuck in their mouth. Always looked ridiculous to me. French manicure or not.
• I think the random photos actually are representative of what's on the internet. As someone who has witnessed the inner-workings of some of the major "back-bones" of the internet, I am not one bit surprised that most of the random pics are porn. If you were able to take a look at percentages of bandwith that are devoted to adult-related material, you would quickly realize they are very high indeed.
• ever-perspicacious... Oooo, I haven't seen that word in donkeys' ages!
• I sat here last night and clicked until I found a non-porn image. I finally redefined porn so I could give up. The Internets scare me.
• On the upside apps like this LJ most recent images rarely show any porn. I'd bet flickr is the same. Now that is probably a function of their TOS but still lots and lots of non porn around.
