Mp3's for 1903 I'm so glad I didn't listen to that salesman about upgrading to 78 rpm.

I've already transferred my entire hard drive to wax cylinders, these things last over a hundred years.

  • I actually worked for two months with the recorded sound collection at The Edison National Historic Site in West Orange, NJ and the stuff they have there is AMAZING. They actually have some of the original tinfoil recordings there. My old boss Jerry runs a radio show on WFMU called Thomas Edison's Attic which is really interesting, although most of what he plays is from Edison Diamond Discs (closer to regular records). You can listen to it online, some really cool stuff.
