Sing for your supper. (or in this case breakfast). Here's a TV commercial (MP2) that just started running in Canada this month, for a Yogurt drink called Yop. It's fun, so start the week off right! courtesy Screenhead via LF

The link is from the UK but except for the drink container, it's the same as the ad running here.

  • Heh. Kind of disturbing. I prefer my yogurt unsweetened and with dinner.
  • Man, Yop's been around for AGES. It's almost as fun as lassi.
  • Friggin hell. Yop *has* been around for ages, and until now, I didn't realize what product this ad was for. I see it all the time and it drives me crazy.
  • Sweet yogurt can be good with dinner - I like vanilla yogurt with curry. (This was something tried more our of need, as that was all I had, but it tasted very good. Sweet and spicy go together well.)
  • I like Yop!
  • I see this EVERY DAMN TIME I TURN ON THE TV, and I don't turn on the TV too often. This commercial makes me want to file down my knuckles.
  • Sweet and spicy go together well Yup. Squirt (grapefruit-flavoured pop) goes wicked good with Mexican food. People there drink gallons of it. Don't know where else you can get it, but none here in Canada. In Mexico they also like to mix it with rotgut mescal. *shudder*
  • moneyjane - have you tried Wink? It's grapefruit and orange, or something like it. Different from the other citrussy stuffs, and quite good.
  • yop yippeeee
  • moneyjane, check a Carribean grocery in your area. Here in Toronto I see about five or six different kinds of grapefruit pop, not including Wink (which is kind of tame compared to the imported stuff). That ad is annoying.
  • moneyjane - If you haven't tried it, Safeway in Vancouver sells grapefruit soda in 2L bottles, diet and regular. I think Save-on does too. Both are house brand.
  • Squirt is freely available in the US, although I always found it a rather iffy choice of name for a yellow liquid I was being asked to put in my mouth...
  • Yop for Pope?
