Hand painted Russian film posters (for non-Russian films)
  • Oh, man, those are great, thanks!
  • I love that 50 first dates one. Top stuff.
  • I remember that in Kenya (Mombasa) the "slick" advertisements that are all too common in the Western countries simply do not exist. Even with billboards, the only professionally-designed one I saw belonged to by Kenya Air. Most humorous were the barber shop signs, usually showing an amateurish head. At least in Kenya, "graphic artist" meant artwork and a real trade, not just moving clip art around. I kind of like the fact that it's the same in Russia.
  • (no offense to the graphic artists here! I'm speaking relatively)
  • I haven't seen Kill Bill, so I have no idea who that guy is in the painted ad for it, but I thought it interesting that neither Uma Thurman, the color yellow, or the women she fights in the movie are on it.
  • Nice stuff! (Minor quibble: the second one, for Bad Boys 2, is Ukrainian, not Russian. If you see a dotted i, it ain't Russian.)
  • Wow, you learn somethin' every day!
