Doukutsu Monogatari - Cave Story (game)

  • If this game isn't proof that video games can be amazing works of art, beautiful from now 'til the end of time, then I don't know what is.
  • There's also an oekaki bbs dedicated to the game that you can check out, if you're so inclined.
  • I've been playing this and it's a great game. Where's it from? Very SNES-style, but apparently(?) programmed natively for the computer. Amateur programmer, or is it a port of something? Good story, good translation, good mechanics.
  • As far as I know, it was done by a bunch of Japanese indie programmers.
