Life in the Sell Lane - Glamour and intrigue. High stakes. Seamy competition. Selling cars is no easy racket, as this undercover journalist can attest. It's a long read, but highly worth it, especially if you're in the market for a new car.
  • I read through this. It'll be handy if I ever buy a car. In a more general vein, though, it made me realize something. Kids, listen up: this is the reason to go to college (and the reason I ought to hit the books and finish up). You go to college so that you never get put into this damnable situation of having to choose between your integrity and getting by. No offence to the car salesmen out there, but that's something to pray for: Lord, deliver me from ever having to be a car salesman.
  • Amen.
  • Good link, f8x. But by the time I got through page 9, I felt too tired to comment.
  • Yeah, like I said, it was long, but definitely worth reading through. I especially enjoyed his description of the other salesmen. Some sounded like jackasses, others didn't sound so bad.
