Just in case atom bombs fall - a hand book for civilians
  • [nice one]
  • It's interesting that the booklet dates to 1951, before the first thermonuclear bomb and before the Russians had an effective way of delivering any bomb into the Lower 48.
  • Excellent post. And very thoughtful of them to include a drawing of a dildo on the cover, I assume as a symbol of comfort and reassurance.
  • do people have names like Quigg Newton anymore?
  • 5. Keep Pets Indoors. Pets Can bring in Radioactive dusts. If you only have a second's warning: 1. Fall flat on your face After the Bombing Attack: 7. DOn't spread rumors For whatever reason I find these very amusing.
  • It's nice you can trust the government to tell the truth...
  • MCT, it looks more like one of those accursed applicator tampons to me. And to ensure the booklet is kept around the house, two pictures of women in their underwear!
  • Going from the picture of the woman in her underwear on page 20, I read the statement on page 21 to be "Lingerie Radioactivity". Radioactive lingerie - for that romantic candlelight look without the candles!
  • That thing on the cover looks like a pocket rocket. Wow, I didn't know nukes were a good thing.
  • And very thoughtful of them to include a drawing of a dildo on the cover, I assume as a symbol of comfort and reassurance. That's chapter 24: "How to pass time with loved ones in the bomb shelter without killing each other and feeding on the juicy remains."
  • Interesting guy, old Quigg of course, he was also a Bonesman
  • Definitely an applicator tampon. Playtex brand.
