Built on a Haunted Naive American Burial Ground Ah, noble savage, the Naive American. The term 'Naive American' is widely recognized as meaning a person who is of a tribe or people indigenous to the United States. When Naive American men got together to make peace or conduct their business, they often shared a long-stemmed pipe of tobacco called the calumet, which they believed induced "good thoughts."

Why not study some Naive American history? Or buy an 18" Naive American w/ Papoose doll? It might help dispell some myths about the Naive Americans. To get involved, you can read up on what the National Park Service is doing about Naive American Sacred Places.

  • naive?
  • I always assumed it was something like the back seat of daddy's car that was sacred to naive Americans, as it would be here they caught their first glimpse of the Holy Grail.
  • Yeesh, how awful. I'm going to share these examples with the next person who tells me they can't afford a web writer.
  • Eight times. A point for consistency, and the fact that the "noble savage" line now cracks me up when, in its spellchecked state, it would have caused vague discomfort.
  • I would assume that it was intentional.... And there is something naive about trusting greedy white men with thunder sticks.... fuckin' white people.... "I've decided I'm going to have a traditional Thanksgiving this year. I'm going to invite everyone in the neighborhood over for a great feast, and then kill them and take their houses." -Jon Stewart...
  • ...come to think of it, maybe this is caused by spellchecking catching a common typo. Hm. Armchair spelling obsessor shutting up now.
  • Study Guide: Week One: IV. Myths About Naive American People 1. Lacked civilization 2. Noble savage 3. Unchanging or static Strangely accurate. (and what shinything said- these folks need to proofread, because spellcheck isn't cutting it)
  • It looks like all the linked sites contain that particular typo somewhere. 'Dispell', indeed!
  • nyargh. 7,547 times; I was counting Google as one because I am uh... not good at math, I suppose.
  • Although I am thankful that the number of Naive Americans is far greater than the number of violet offenders.
  • I want a Violet Crime-lite!
  • You think that's bad... look at the damage caused by "Viagara".
  • Violet/violent would have to be my second or third favorite one, after "satin/Satan." I love me some satin worship.
  • As a naive american I have to say that that long stemmed pipe certainly did induce good thoughts. until it started making me paranoid and I found out it was illegal of course! and, on preview, that there viagara can cause some satin worshiping, oh yes it can.
  • it's all about attention ot detali online.
  • Wurwilf: I just bought a purple satin comforter, so I've been doing quite a bit of satin worshipping lately!
  • eye dew knot no wat al your come planing a bout.
  • I guess poor spelling is just a sing of the times.
  • BTW, "evian" is "naive" spelled backwards.
  • A naive man, a plan, a canal: evian marzipan!
  • Could it be that rather than being a misspelling, one could pronounce it with that heavy cockney accent which removes the T sound for a hard stop? 'ello, guv. Fancy a pos' abou' Na'ive Americans?
  • chimaera wins!
