201 stories by Anton Chekhov.
  • Now that's a comeback post. Excellent.
  • )))
  • The first (translated) story of his I ever read was "Sleepy." How cool of an introduction to an author is that?
  • Splendid post. Thanks, Jerry Jr.
  • Wow. Good one.
  • There are great -- too long since I read any Chekov, so I've bookmarked 'em. Thanks, Jerry.
  • By coincidence i just finished reading some of his short funny plays: The Brute and some others. Great post!
  • )))

    nice
  • Damn first banana's and I messed it up ...
  • For the love of god, let none of them be Three Sisters...
  • Three Sisters is a play, Mfpb. Chekhov's short stories are among the best that have ever been written. Finely observed, beautiful economy, transparent sensibility, virtually perfect. I don't feel the plays represent the best of his work. He's a short-form guy, essentially.
  • But arse_hat: you've finally enlightened me as to what ))) means! I've been too afraid to ask, so thanks two times! :-)
