From the "Why Didn't They Have These When I Was a Kid" department : Go to the emergency room in style (links to video on this page).
  • I used to hang out in our back alley and see how many jumps I could get on my old-fashioned (albeit with neon pink and green highlights) steel coil stick. I think I got up to 2500. Yeah, it was kind of boring.
  • As a kid, I always thought pogo sticks sounded and looked fun in theory. Of course, when I actually got to try one I found it to be a bit harder and less fun than expected, but I probably just needed more practice. This one looks neat, though. It seems like the technology might have other uses as well. I mean, from the description, it seems to put out more energy than is put in. “Depending on how high you want to bounce and how much you weigh, you can get it to produce 1,200 pounds of thrust if you’re so inclined,” says co-designer and pro skateboarder Andy Macdonald. I haven't taken a physics course yet, but wouldn't this much thrust on say, an average person, fling you halfway across your respective country?
  • wouldn't this much thrust on say, an average person, fling you halfway across your respective country? Well, sustained thrust of that kind could do amazing things, but in this case I don't think so... unless your country happens to be Monoco or something.
  • Awesome video of the Flybar in use (wmv) Wouldn't pay $300 for something like that but damn was that cool to watch.
  • That's amazing.
  • I like how they are trying to make pogo sticks agro and cool... Next up, X-treem-stiltZ <-- it has a Z instead of an S so it must be cool!!!
  • Yeah, jccalhoun, isn't it interesting to see all these "new" toys?
