MoFi T Shirt Orders Ok kids, the voting's over and it looks like this design won. I've volunteered to get prices on getting them printed up here in California, but will need to get an idea of how many and in what sizes before I can get real numbers. Depending on the size of the run, real silk screened shirts can cost anywhere from 25 to 7 dollars a piece, so a real accounting of pre-orders is critical. It appears that Tracy will try to make it as easy as possible for you to pay (paypal, credit card, checks and money orders, etc...) so now it's time to walk the walk... Who's really gonna order one (or two, or three)? PS-Remember to give the sizes that you want as well.
  • 1 XL shirt definite. may order 2 if the $ is low enough. you rock, squidranch. thanks for taking care of this!
  • Me first again! One please, large.
  • Damn!
  • 1 XL, please. And please, enough monkeys put in orders so we don't have to pay 25 bucks.
  • Are they going to be brown? Cuz that will affect the price. White is cheapest (but personally, I prefer brown).
  • I WANT TWO Definite, sign me up, that's a sure thing, etc. Medium or Large size. Or XL. Whatever the fuck. If more people order large, I'll take large. If there are enough orders for a 'medium' size, I'll take two of them. Whatever the fuck is easier for youse. I don't give two shits. Whatever is cheaper/easier/practical in terms of the printing etc. Fuckit. I'll bend like a reed in the motherfuckin' wind. I'll have to pay by direct debit. Telegraphic transfer. Electronic money squirt. Whatever you say, handsome. I'm there. Sign me up. Voooooot.
  • Are they brown? I thought that was black, but no matter. One large, please so it's nice and comfy. Are they cotton? If so I would get two. I'll send money by money order.
  • One XL, please. And if you can make the Paypal work, superfine!
  • I'll take one in Small. May I make a present of a second shirt to anyone?
  • "Makes the perfect gift" therefore, 2 large 2 XL (4 total) please. The easiest way for me to pay would probably be PayPal.
  • One large for me.
  • I will definitely want one if the price is right. Probably size Medium.
  • If you can do 2XL, I will pay (almost) any amount for one, plus an XL (in the name of wishful thinking).
  • I'd like (1) large and (1) medium. Paypal is muy beuno however, whatever is the path of least resistance for the facilitators; Merci!
  • One medium, thanks.
  • I'll take two 1 L 1 XL (Do we get a pin-up pose photo of any of the Mofiettes with every purchase? Just asking)
  • I'd get one, for fun more than advertising (I wouldn't associate you guys with me, I'm not that mean!). One XL. hence the parenthetical. Though if there's a description from the printer of how large they actually are, that's even better.
  • 1 Large One, baby. Arg: No.
  • 1 XL please, mebbe more when you can give a firm-ish price... but 1 XL definitely.
  • One small, one large, please!
  • I would also do a 2XL if available, or a XL if that is as large as they go. Paypal is best.
  • 1 small, women's cut, if possible. Thanks (organizers and artists alike) for the great work!
  • I'll take a size L, please sir.
  • One (1) XL Mens for me, por favor! Thanks for takin' care of this stuff.
  • One small, one large.
  • One small, please.
  • 1 t-shirt for me, please. Large if women's sizes, Medium if men's (most t-shirts seem to be men's sizes).
  • I'll take 1 (one) Extra Large (XL). And, hey: We should get one for moneyjane too.
  • 1 large adult-size and 1 sm/med kid-size please.
  • Damn. My wife reminds me that I have a photo from my youth of a chimp flinging poo. The shot is in mid-fling. You can clearly see the blurry poo barrage. Would that I had thought of that while we were still accepting designs.
  • One medium or large, depending on if it's women's cut or men's.
  • One XL please.
  • One medium, (cool design btw)
  • Two 2XL for me.
  • One mens small please. Can pay by cc
  • can we get more sizing info? like Melinika and jb, and probably other's I've missed, I'd lurve to get women's sizing... so put me in the "one large if it's women's size, one medium if it's men's size" column...
  • One Large please!
  • 1xsmall mens please. Credit card.
  • 1 XL for me. Pay by CC.
  • 1 large, 2 if price < USD12. men's if differentiated. all payment methods amenable. lovely design! p.s. brown's OK, black or EEEEFF might be nice.
  • I'm a relatively money deficient monkey, so I'll wait and see what the price is, if it is < $15 after shipping, I'll most likely purchase one.
  • This she-monkey will want a women's L or men's M. My he-monkey is very tall (6'4"), so I'd like to know whether tall sizes are available. Sometimes he can fake with a 2XL, but if there are tall sizes, that will do better.
  • If the shirt is a womans size make it large. If it is a mans size make it a mediium. Credit Card. :) Congrats to the winning monkey,Chriss. Great Design.
  • well volunteeered Squidranch ... Mine's a large one landlord.
  • One large please for me. Thanks for takin' care of this, squid.
  • I want a t-shirt! I'm the same as the other girl-types: M if it's men's sizes, L if it's women's. (though measurements would be peachy!) ... and add my thanks to the pile, squid!
  • 2 Large (one male, one female if that makes a difference). Thanks squid! Hi f8x!
  • I would like 1 L mens shirt please.
  • One men's large, please and thank you. Yay!
  • I'll take a small and XL. I appreciate your effort! I'll wear it with pride.
  • 1 men's medium, guv'nor. Ta!
  • Oook - paypal's probably best for me, although I will be willing to pay... in blood!
  • One men's XL.
  • XL please. Hoping they are >15, but...Pay whatever way you want.
  • 2 Here... One XL and One Extra Medium
  • Men's small or women's medium, please. #2 says "maybe" so he doesn't count yet.
  • 1x small or medium mens please. CC payment.
  • Shit, I'll buy #2 a shirt just for getting the archives going again.
  • um ... i'd like at least one. l or xl.
  • I'd like 1 (one) Medium, please. Unless it's an American Apparel thingy, in which case I'd like 1 (one) Large. Merci.
  • 1 xxl if available, otherwise 1 xl.
  • Deffinately 1 mens XL. I love the design but I missed the voting. Was the Minkeyfilter banner up for vote? It seems like it would make a good T.
  • ...a photo of them taken with it and post it to a thread... In which case, if this is a serious proposal, I'll pass.
  • wage, there was this design that gained a bit of popularity, but USB Banana seems to be the winner and as of yet I don't think there are plans to do multiple designs (perhaps a future pony...)
  • One large, please, and thanks for doing this. I wonder when we will have our first serendipitous monkey encounter via one of these shirts? And where? We could start a betting pool...
  • one large please. hopefully for less than $15 Thanks!
  • One small mens shirt
  • I think I wear a 17 in Husky boys. Probably a medium in tall women's maternity. Taking into account desired bagginess, please make that one monkeyfilter tee size L. Thank you.
  • Thanks, squidranch - one menfolk L for me, pliz.
  • One XL mens. But if the price is low I would order two.
  • 2 large, please. Yum!
  • Seeing the banana on that tee makes me wonder if there is a John Holmes size.
  • One medium, mens or womens - Yay!
  • One mens M, unless they are really small, in which case i would want L. American sizes seem to be bigger than Australia, so M should be ok, and if not, i can just use it as incentive to stay buffed! ;P
  • Of course I need a monkey shirt! One, please: M if men's size L if women's size Happy to pay in advance, or whatever will make this easiest. Thank you squiddy for making this happen! Let me know if you need any help.
  • One medium mans. Thanking you kindly.
  • One for me too (L if men's, XL if women's). Thanks.
  • Male L, ship to New Zealand please. Paypal or Visa both option.
  • 1 large please!
  • Where are the thongs? I was told there would be thongs!
  • 1 large for me. can pay via cc, paypal, cash, money order, personal check, or the souls of 10,000 zombie pirates
  • I'd be up for 1 large if the price isn't too obscene
  • One lurker for one XL (mens) if the price ~<$15. Great site BTW.
  • How big is large? How big is extra-large? 1 x tee for me, but I will have to wait before I specify a size. I definitely will be buying one, though.
  • 1 XL please, I am assuming US sizes...
  • i need one for a small robot...
  • Large!
  • 1 XL for me - paypal
  • 1 large please! Paypal always good.
  • 1 XL 4 me.
  • Make mine a large one too. Cheers!
  • 1 xl here if its under $20..............
  • One large women for me please. Depending on the price i might get another one. Payment via paypal. I'm back...sniffles!!! No one even noticed i was gone!
  • 2 XL please.....
  • i'm pretty broke so... 1 Large, men's or women's, for me, if it's <$15.
  • One XXL, maybe more once I figure out what the price is.
  • Are you doing any in the higher end of the size range (>2XL)? 'Cause then I'd buy one.
  • Hey, if we sold MoFi underwear we could figure out everyone's waist size too. (bwa ha ha! ...no really I love you all) I'll take a men's large if they're under $15 including shipping. I can pay with cc.
  • (1) XXL for me!
  • One XL for me. Looks like good jammies.
  • I'd go for one large! Thanks!
  • I'm a large and I'm in for one. CC, money order, PayPal, babysitting, yardwork, whatever it takes.
  • Depending on how much it's likely to shrink, either 1 XL and 1 XXL. To be on the safe side, if I need to I can always wash the XXL in plenty-hot water.
  • I'll have a small and a medium. Let me know where to send check.
  • Sign me up for a medium.
  • Hey, if we sold MoFi underwear we could figure out everyone's waist size too. (bwa ha ha! ...no really I love you all) Be careful what you wish for.
  • I shouldn't, but okay. One large.
  • Ook Oook! I MUST have one. Bartender, make mine an extra large (XL)--and I agree, wearing it as sleep shirt is a great idea--I'll be dreaming of you monkeys that way. That way it's cool in summer with cutoffs, too. (Yeah, yeah, tacky ex-hippy apparel) Can pay by CC or PP, whichever works best. Thanks to the Squiddy for all the hard work. Love this design, hope the shirt is black, but I'm with Wage, I'd lurve to have the logo on a T. Where are the thongs? I was told there would be thongs! I wonder when we will have our first serendipitous monkey encounter...And where? We could start a betting pool... First private or public encounter? In public? Well, hey! Obviously my money will be on Pete_best and .... Which leads us to: Monkeyfilter: so now it's time to walk the walk... and the obvious: Monkeyfilter: Where are the thongs? I was told there would be thongs! And I deny the rumors that Ramix and I were locked in a hotel room watching re-runs of Father Knows Best and Bonanza while totally soused on screwdrivers. She probably doesn't even like Bonanza.
  • i got curious and just did a quick tally (didn't count those who needed to know if it was under $15 or the potential multiples if the price gets low. bumped size up to larger option when 2 were given). don't know if all sizes will be available, but this is what's requested: men's small: 10 men's medium: 10 men's large: 38 men's xl: 29 men's xxl: 9 men's >xxl: 1 lady's small: 2 lady's medium: 1 lady's large: 8 lady's xl: 1 also, one men's tall (assumed 2xl) that's 110 shirts, folks! give or take a few. we've got some mighty fine stylin' monkeys out there!
  • One more men's large. Via visa.
  • I'll have a large Farva...
  • I don't suppose a Cafepress Account could be created to throw the logo on some other thing (coffee mug, mousepad, etc). I know Cafepress was dismissed for t-shirts because iron-ons are teh sUX0r, but other stuff should transfer nicely.
  • I just got the email newsletter from CafePress announcing tha they are going to add to their line of printable products a plush monkey in a t-shirt for $14.95. Are they stalking us, or what?
  • I'd take a medium. Yes.
  • If normal t-shirt: women's medium. If ringer tee/babydoll tee: women's large.
  • Late in the game, but I couldn't log in when this was on the front page. One men's XL for me please! Yay!
  • One L and one XL for me please!
  • 1 mens large - subject to change if we get the babydoll option...
  • um hey what the hell, i'll explain it to my wife when the bill arrives. one mens large. if the large seems to run small, an extra-large instead. i am 6'4" after all, can't have it so short that my tummy pokes out the bottom... i'm not an 18-year old girl, see... oh and paypal credit card check in the mail whateva works for me RE: payment.
  • OK, I got (more or less) these numbers 10 XXL 35 XL 45 L 20 M 15 S I have a call out to a friend of a friend who will be calling me sometime next week. She is going to be doing me a favor by seeing if there are any sales on high quality 100% cotton mocha t shirts in the next couple of weeks and by doing so, will keep the price lower that if I was to just have her buy from current stock. So, now I need to hear from Tracy about how she is going to handle the $$$ part, then we will have them printed. If I can get some other SoCal monkeys to help with the shipping part it would be groovey. Any volunteers?
  • Oh, and as for the sizing, we will be getting a better deal if we keep the sizing to standard American men's sizes, so women's sizes were rounded down to the next smaller men's size. Also, if we get more orders in the next couple of weeks I can always add to the printing run and they will bring down the per unit cost.
  • Late to the party, as usual. One men's L.
  • Happy to help with shipping!
  • When/where/how do we send money?
  • Likewise curious about jb's question.
  • Whoops, late, xl, check, card, status?
  • I've been out of monkeyfilter contact for a little while, and missed this before...sign me up for one men's L, if it's not too late. And, boy, you should see the list of recent comments I've got going on in the sidebar.
  • bump?
  • So, um, anything happening here?
  • The money's burning a hole in my pocket, mon. not really, but I really really really want a shirt. Please?
  • WHERE'S MY SHIRT! It's cold in here. Alnedra, we're going to have to get out those Hammers.
  • People, people! These things take time! Keep your shirts on! You'll get your shirts! Why, I'd give you the shirt off my back, if I had one. Now, where's that shirt I ordered? What kind of restaurant is this?! Well, that covers a lot of ground. Say, you cover a lot of ground yourself. You better beat it - I hear they're going to tear you down and put up an office building where you're standing. You can leave in a taxi. If you can't get a taxi, you can leave in a huff. If that's too soon, you can leave in a minute and a huff. You know, you haven't stopped talking since I came here? You must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle. (Rufus T. Firefly)
  • Right, GramMa. *starts firing up forge to make more Hammers*
  • I finally found the thread and am happy nothing's happened while I lost it. (The thread, that is.) Still want a t-shirt.
  • So what's the word on the shirts?
  • I'm giving squid a call this weekend to talk about them. He's got a bid for seven-colour printing at around $15-16 including shipping. Mostly I guess we need to work out how to organise the money side. I feel like I'm out of touch on this because I've slacked off for so long. Did we reach any good conclusions aside from Paypal?
  • wow, that's a great price for the shirts. bananas all around!
  • I'm flexible. Paypal, credit card, postal order, cash cheque. Anything. Just give me a shirt!
  • i guess the question would be, is there anyone who can't/won't use paypal?
  • No paypal for me.
  • one XL and one XXL for us.
  • No paypal for me, either.
  • shinything: what means of payment would work for you?
  • Sorry patita, should have been more specific. CC and check are fine.
  • there's a way to accept payments via paypal where the person making the payment doesn't need to have an account. would that work for the non paypal monkeys?
  • So the plan is this: I will take payments for t-shirts, which we'll call US$17 each including shipping, regardless of location. We need to get about 125 orders before we can start printing because of setup costs - the t-shirts are seven-colour (so they will look fantastically awesome) and there's a one-off charge per colour, plus shirts, plus screens. I'll only believe orders that come with money attached. :) I'll set up PayPal (*shudder*) and anyone who needs my postal address can email me with their order -- I'll keep it open until the cheque/money order arrives in my letterbox. If those methods don't suit someone, email me and we'll try to find alternatives. I'll link to the PayPal page once it's up and verified and all that crap. If there is any cash remaining after all t-shirts have been ordered, we could save that and subsidise the cost of MoFi T-Shirt II: The Next Generation. We're being deliberately conservative with shipping costs to make sure everyone is covered no matter where in the world they are. Of course, if your shirt has to be hand-delivered by kilted yaksmen in the deepest jungles of Outer Mongolia, there may be a surcharge. Please include in your order the following information: MoFi username Real name Postal address Contact email Method of payment # of shirts, sizes Did I forget anything?
  • Just a couple of questions. 1. Do we send the order to you by email? 2. We are talking US sizes here, right? Thankee tracicle and squidranch! *Does Happy Dance*
  • The money order should be in US$, correct?
  • same questions as Alnedra and Koko. *spins in joy*
  • I'm pretty sure that Tracy and I are on the same page on this so I will answer the above questions. Yes, you send your intention to order via email (with your mofi name, real name, address, size, contact email, etc.) , but back it up with an immediate check/money order/whatever (in US currency) via snailmail to her real world address in NZ. If you are ordering via paypay, you will not need to send a separate email, just include all your pertinent information (again, your mofi name, real name, address, size, contact email, etc.) in the info/questions box provided by paypal when you transfer the funds to Tracy. Tracy will be posting this to the main page along with an email address to paypal your funds to. We won't count it as a real order until Tracy gets your $$$. The sizing on the shirts are US, men's sizes.
  • From what I understand, you can do a single transaction using your credit card with paypal and you do not need to have a paypal account. The person recieving the money does need an account, but the person who is buying the t shirt does not.
  • Oh, thanks for clearing that up, squid. I thought very long and hard about that comment but I knew I'd miss something out.
  • Sorry for another question, but what range of sizes are available? S-XL?
  • You may want to send out an email with this info.
  • Sizes go up to XXL.
  • Actually, to do a mass email is kind of a pain, am I wrong Tracy? I think a front page post will do it.
  • Yep. I'll do it once I have PayPal set up. I want to set up a separate bank account for the purpose, which will take a day or so. And I need to find my credit card. Has anyone seen it? Sort of a bronzy colour, clear strip, my name's on it...
  • I think I saw quidnunc picking his teeth with it.
  • Oh, ew. Was that before or after he had the baby back ribs?
  • Sheesh! You eat one lousy baby ...
  • "Visa/Mastercard/AmEx/whatever: The only card you'll ever need to pick bits of baby out of your teeth."
  • I just checked into that penpal thing, and you do have to have an account and it will take a week for funds to make their way from my account to approval status. How about wire transfers? Are they feasible? If not I may as well send an expedited money order to that far off land where tracicle is. Any suggestions as to preference?
  • Unless I misunderstood, squidranch's link shows how someone with Paypal can send money to someone who doesn't have Paypal yet (but would need to sign up to claim the $). Paypal's info on accepting payments from people without an account. This works from a business account only. from the link: Here’s how this easier checkout works: 1. Customers enter their name and shipping address. 2. They’re prompted for their credit card, email address, and phone number. 3. (Optional) After reviewing their information, they may choose to save their information by creating a PayPal account to make future transactions faster. To do this, a "Requests for Payment" would need to be emailed to shirt buyers. alternately, someone could set up a website with a "buy a shirt" button (this would initiate payment process).
  • I'm fine with cheques or money orders. I've opened a bank account just for t-shirt money so it'll go straight in with PayPal funds. Email me with your order details and I'll send you my home address.
  • OK!
  • Tracy, post all this info to the front page. There are lots of folks who have probably already forgotten about it.
  • Fogotten about what?
